Don't know why I am even going to post this but what the heck...
Not even interested. Sure a few new dungeons, but with an ilvl 55 to enter, I really, really, REALLY do doubt that we will have any gear progression in there. Maybe we will get ilvl 65 or some stupid thing that people won't even want to wear. I am not seeing any type of gear progression that has any flavour or variety in stats. I hate looking like every single pld out there. We all have the same stats, there is nothing different between 2 equally geared paladins. I really want more flavour in gear choices, and stat choices. But, all we are getting is the same stats, more of the same stats and.... you guessed it, same stats.
FC Gardening, yea not even interested. Personal Housing? Not even interested. New beastman dailies? 120k for the Amal'jaa mount and I said "NOPE!" not happening. Not spending 120k gil on battle drake that will just carry me around. I got a free chocobo, well not exactly free, but I got a free ahriman, and the magitek armor after completing the original main story line before 2.1 addition of new story content, which I haven't even completed yet. Going into thornmarch for a chance to get a weapon that is useless to me since I have my Relic+1 was just not worth it. Going into the extremes for new jewelry? Nope! I have most of my myth/coil jewelry so no use going in there.
New tomestone to farm? Sounds like more speedruns to me. NOPE! I refuse to speed run. It just isn't worth it. I really want to love this game again, but sadly, I just can't. It just seems.... It seems to me that they just don't care about making actual progression in dungeons, and new content. All I am seeing is what they should of had ready at Launch. Instead, we got a very incomplete game.
Truly, if I KNEW Crystal Tower was NOT going to be ready for Launch, and decided to push the first 5 turns of Coil out the door I would of changed a lot of things.
1) Make the encounters for that of the CT (current) difficulty with the stats and ilvl that it offers.
2) Released CT with ilvl90 gear with new instances to help bridge the gap and would of made CT a heck of a lot harder with the option for an entire Alliance to queue up for it. Instead of just 1 - 8man party or solo queue. I still would of allowed that, but would of made more for FC's to clear as a FC rather than 'coil group X, its CT Time'
The new dungeons, sure, what limited information we have, the concept sounds interesting, but they lack the creativity. I want NEW dungeons. Not dungeons turned into HM that have new encounters. I want fresh looking dungeons, new bosses, and randomized boss mechanics. As of right now its just, memorize the rotation the boss uses and thats it, we win!
All in all, I am no where even near, interested in what is being offered in 2.2.
