I guess it's a good thing I have an idea, and yes that's a lot of work. I used to think that yeah it was easy to do updates. I mean the systems are in place, just need DAT copy and paste... Then I started working in my companies IT group as a tier 3 support agent working closely with the technical team with the world's leading ERP software. Let's just say most people in this forum have absolutely no idea what software development consists of.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have more quality content. Keyword quality.

Good thing that the Population of the actual Forum-Users is in most Games below 5% of the actual Playersbase and in FFXIV the last official Number was 3%. Odd that the Rest of the Playerbase does not bother to come here and complain as well, if it would be actually something to be worried about.

Isn't the point of calling something "hard" to be the same thing but made harder?

Hard mode does not need to mean the SAME thing but harder. yes in some MMO 'hard' mode is just the same thing with more HP and doing more DMG, but that is the lazy path.

Hard mode is a new version or revisiting of a previous dungeon at a later point in time which has been re-inhabited by new creatures/bosses/paths. This is what FFXIV does, and same as other games such as GW2. the main dungeon is the same, but your going to encounter new things, paths, bosses, ... and it will be at a higher level, and higher difficulty relative to the dungeons ilvl/lvl.

Yet decisions are made quiet often on implementing different things into the game based on the posts and opinions on these forums.

If the opinions on the forums are so irrelevant then why do the devs read them and make game changes accordingly?

I like this game and the direction its headed mostly because I work 40 hours a week and really only have time to play during the weekend and during the week will do other small things like crafting and gathering for like an hour or two. I'm surprised that people have so much trouble spending $14.99 a month on a game. If you have that kind of trouble then honestly you should focus more on your life instead of this game. People say this game is bland and repetitive but that just means you play this game far to much and need to actually know how to walk away from it and do other things in life. Take a break from it if you feel burned out and stop trying to rush through all the content as fast as possible and just enjoy the game because this game is far better then any of the other mmorpgs that are currently out right now.

Decisions are made of the Feedback Forums, not of the General Discussion Forum. You will see people posting only in Feedback, which you have NEVER seen in General Discussion and never will see here. And it is still just a minority, which can be bad in some cases. I seriously would be happy if the FULL playerbase would bother more with the Forums, but they do not.

There were several Threads about giving Feedback ingame Mandatory, after you have completed something or the possibility of giving Feedback ingame in general. And hey.. there is a "Suggestion Form" in the Support Desk. But that is not the point, the point is people believe that you can say a Game is dying according to what is said on General Discussions; which is simply wrong.

Most people who play games are in their 30's and they have kids and work 40 hrs. So making an MMO thats harder and a time sink is out of the question because most of the player base will quit since they don't have the time to put into a single game.
