Some people got me wrong on titan EM (and why I rant about a possible "beat ifrit or gtfo of levi"). His mechancs are simple enough and I have no problem about the tables, landslide (even 5x.. Should I take one I just run under him, eat it and come back in place. Lag have at least this one advantage). The whole fight would actually be boring easy if it wasn't for the plumes.

I can avoid plumes. Once, twice.. pre-heart. When the heart dies (if my party doesn't wipe in between..), game freezes for one second and I fall on the ground at 1st plumes. It's not a matter of computer or anything. Just plain lag as my internet has to go through earthen fury's animation and VFX, and then adds, then bombs (I usually don't see them before they explode, I try to watch for my mates to see safe spot), then landslide, then... nothing after that.

It's driving me crazy to te point I'm considering buying a merc un only for that and never bother again about that crappy fight

it's funny how people come with VPNs all the way. What if I do not want to pay an extra fee for the game ? I should not have too. And even if I do, nothing guarantees that the other 7 won't die and that I won't fail again and again.

You're correct, you shouldn't have too. However, currently it is one of the few viable options to circumvent the issue. Rather than complain about the lag, I gladly paid the $4 for a month and I haven't lagged since.

I agree with you, but since Titan EX is the only fight you're having issues with... Pingzapper has a free version that is exactly the same as the paid version, but you can only stay connected to it for one hour at a time. So it's absolutely perfect for primal battles. Join a group, and when the group is ready, "Hey guys, let me relog really fast." Exit game, load up pingzapper, load game, and bam. The timer on primals is 1 hour anyway, so it's absolutely perfect for that.

As for not being able to control how well the other seven players perform, welcome to MMORPGs. This game punishes you pretty badly for not having all 8 people performing flawlessly, but that's just the direction this game has taken.

Thanksfully this is only true for the top-of-the-elite content available. As new things come out, maybe some welcome nerfs will happen (I'd be happy with only a 0.5 longer cast on plumes tbh. Actual timer is just a joke as you can't react to it like the lanslides, the only option is to know what is coming at the exact second it's coming). I'd hate to be locked forever out of the content just because of such a bad designed fight.

When my connection is fine, I have no issues with plumes even if I don't react at the exact moment they start. Granted, I live closer to Montreal than most players, and I'm sure I'd have issues if I had 100+ ping like players on west coast USA or in Europe. The only mechanic I really dislike is the knock-off crap. Someone lag spikes and bam, out for the rest of the fight. I hope Leviathan doesn't use that design, but... well, we've all seen the screenshots.

You should try the free version of Pingzapper for Titan, though. It helps a lot of people.
