Commendation System: So who get's your vote?

I agree. We did some ultima HM runs yesterday with 5-6 FC members and twice, we had a really phenomenal non FC healer and I couldn't commend him/her.

Almost never use df alone so not many chances for commendation unfortunately

Just finished up my 500, kickin myself in the butt for not realizing this sooner: Ifrit story mode.

Queue Ifrit story mode as tank, made a polite macro explaining I was doing this for the commendation mount, thought this would give people easy low lvl roulettes instead of doing guildhest. Briefly explain what little there is to know about the fight in case anyone's new, advise I'll be stunning every 2nd eruption for good form. Did this on MRD, which shines quite nicely @ 22 having just gotten Berserk. Don't go WAR, nothing really gained, no defiance, lose out on crossclass skills. Went with all 3 archer crossclass and internal release.

1. People LOVE getting ifrit on low lvl roulette.
2. People new to the fight appreciate a good explanation that doesn't talk down to them.
3. Nobody expects stunned eruptions on that fight.

Bonus points if you do this less than half an hour before a maintenance, when people stop queueing you can shout for people to queue roulette saying you've queued ifrit. Of course don't guarantee they get in with you, but it worked for me.

I usually give my commendation to the DPS for DPS love since I am a DPS person lol. And if the Tank or Healer really stood out than I will give it to that player. But since I play on PS3 and its really hard to quickly get out of those cut scenes I end up giving it to the person that waited. I always give commendations in dungeons but not Guildheist all the time, the thing makes you feel rushed to collect your xp and stuff lol

This has been quite helpful. I go above and beyond as a tank/healer/dps but find myself favoring the tank role most often due to quicker wait times, and I often wonder why I do not receive as many commendations even though I rocked a dungeon! I see now many people look more at the dps due to the fact that they are often overlooked. I may as well start dpsing more.

I'm Warrior main, and I used to get most/all commendations.

I'm now considering levelling paladin to raise my commendations even more, however it seems people are bored to give commendations to tanks, which is annoying. Dps are disposable unless they are friends. We have too many of them already. We don't need more, so no one should be rewarded for playing a dps class.

So well, If dps players reward each others to lv up commendation reputation, I guess I won't bother levelling tank, I'll find another method to get to 500, and you'll be stuck queuing forever

If a tank speedruns well and generally makes the dungeon fast and smooth i'll commend him. If ifrit or garuda go well, i'll commend tank too. Usually commend the healer at titan. I don't commend lvl 50s spamming guild hests and being overly polite trying to root for commendations xD ( god its so obvious...)

dps classes get the fun and easy job, so we don't get commendations as much....

I think commendations are often given out when the party runs into some trouble...and usually its the tank and healer which sorts it ( usually )

However, when u reeeeally think about it, most of the content u use DF for is simple, and when u get someone chatty who brings some life to the party besides the usual farm drones, then yes 100% i'll commend this person.

I always commend the worst person in the group during my roulettes.

Healer who casts a cure every 20 seconds contributing nothing to the run and doesn't have cleric stance on his bar. +1 Commendation
Melee who stay flank whole fight, or better yet in front of the mobs? +1 Commendation
Black Mages who alternates Fire 3 and Blizzard 3 Spam. +1 Commendation
Summoners with Titan Out. +1
People wearing white weapons 20 levels lower then them? +1
Tanks who Spam Flash, and only flash, +1
People who get locked out and have some bizarre excuse. +1
Level 40+ Without the Job Unlocked, +1
Ps3 Players, +1

You get the idea.

Staris I like your list...LOL. I don't get the PS3 one though...I play just fine on it and do not have any issues so I don't know what silly joke you are trying to make on that one...sure you get to see loot before me and everyone is stoneskinned before I show up in the dungeon but that is about it....LOL
