Commendation System: So who get's your vote?

As a tank, I tend to thank the healer for having my back. However, if there is a helpful player who gives the boss strategies before the fight I tend to give it to them regardless of their class.

Also, anyone who steps up in a pinch will get it. For example, our white mage disconnected in the middle of a boss fight and the black mage took over healing. I had to give it to her for that.

Really, people who are nice and stand out get my commendations. Default choosing the tank or healer is not the best approach. I had terrible healers and tanks in some runs....man, even I had my bad days where I healed or tanked like an idiot. Getting commendations for screwing up? Not really. I often commend DPS if they did their job well. You appreciate the occasional bard that knows what those ballads are for...just to mention one example.

Too bad really if you are in a premade group of 2, joining DF to get the rest. Had an awesome Haukke HM run recently. Tank and Healer were exceptionally good but me and my friend could not give any commendations because we were grouped up :/

I vote for the one who did the most outside what they "have to do" and still managed to do what they were supposed to do.

Unless it's someone that stand out or is nice, no one.
Already milked 500 the first two weeks of 2.1 spamming the 200 guildhest achievement, now it's just enter/leave/reque dungeons.

A month into duty roulette and my vote now goes to whomever makes my daily visit to Sastasha even slightly less boring.

Apparently not the healer... I healed Tam Tara Deepcroft with a tank that had to ask at the beginning... "So, am I supposed to get aggro?". Needless to say, I ended up having to heal everyone in the party constantly every pull and the BLM was normally tanking the bosses (including the last boss). I didn't let anyone die the whole run and not one comm.

I give my commendations too....

In order:

1) Someone who goes above and beyond in a dungeon (either typing help to first timers, or performing a role that their class shouldn't have to perform because someone else dropped the ball).

2) Someone who tells me that they like Monkey Island and appreciate my characters name.

3) The person whoose name I like the best.



If none of those criteria fit, I will give it to the last person to leave the dungeon (outside of me).

I never give anyone my commendation even if they are helpful and friendly, you better give me yours and even then i will still not give it to you.
