    In alot of mmos, it's

    4) To me it seems like that with each new HM or EX instanced fight. You get placed on different servers. Thats the only reason that plasubly explains why I have in 5 fights 3 times near to 0 lag 1 time "normal lag" and 1 time such a bad lag that it is unplayable
    ^this ......

    We have to act before something happens because reaction to what happens on our screen is too slow.
    However the 0.1 position check does help a little, but still only works when you do not cast something before running...

    I just began leveling my conj. less than two weeks ago. I have friends with major lag issues though I am lucky enough to have only experienced the frustration of that like maybe two times. I will say this though that it is quite odd for the following to be happening. When I have red numbers at the bottom of my heal keys ie my distance is too far from targeted player -- IF that particular group/instance has players who say they are experiencing lag, everytime I can still cast my heals with no problem and have them land. This is another anomaly. And it happens repeatedly, even though my gameplay in any other way does not seem affected as far as my being able to move out of plumes/aoe's etc on any of my jobs.

    I'm sorry for those having to deal with the choice of "Will SE address this anytime in the near future OR do I have to decide to leave a game I waited a long time to play and find something else on the mmo market"?

    The trouble with people saying to just memorize the fight is this that on things like landslide or weight of the land, you don't know who Titan will focus on for the cast. You can start moving precisely when you need to in order to avoid lag and still be hit by something because you chose to move in a direction that someone else may have been near to, thus making you move into their AoE or Line effect, and by then time you see it, the server has registered you as in that zone, and even if you move out on your screen, it doesn't matter.

    I have 3 relics right now and working on a fourth, on a tank, a dps, and a healer. It isn't as though I don't know the fights I'm getting into. I know them ridiculously well. But I still get landslided and I still get weighted. I literally have no control over whether or not I live, and that's the most frustrating thing I've experienced in any game I think.

    Still dealing with this latency issue during Titan HM. So tired of wiping due to this faulty system they have. I should be able to react when i'm targeted, not before. I have been stuck on this fight for over a month now and i'm getting very frustrated with this game because of it. I shouldn't need to get a group to "Carry" me past a fight because of their server issues. Isn't that why we pay a sub in the first place?

    Lag issue is back for me and my wife, we get lag spikes a lot now and it's to a point where my wife is about to quit XIV because she can't do any instance battles with this lag spikes.

    We had the issue in the past, resolved by using pingzapper to reroute our connection but even with pingzapper now, no matter which routing we take the lag spikes seems to be there. We haven't changed any of the hardware, I even tried to reset the router/modem to see if that had any effect to see no change.

    Snip from last game watch interview I translated

    GW: But, since we all know the IP it’s possible to add it in the benchmark program to show when players check the PC performance so they can understand the issue. I really think the current situation is unfair. People still mentioning it even after FFXIV ARRs launch must mean that there are that much people that is misunderstanding.

    GW: But from the players side, they will keep on saying that something is definitely wrong with this game since they are dodging for sure on their screen. I think this isn’t good for both sides.

    Yoshida: We have saying on our side too “I dodged it on my screen!” there are people who keep on hitting the trap every time and someone told that person “Stop doing it!” and he said “I dodged it on my screen!” when he said that another person who was calm mentioned “Then reinstall the game, your game is bugged” (laugh).
    Putting the joke aside, the measure we put in this time will post the position you stopped so it should reflect the rendered image directly. This one is hard to explain, but I believe it should feel much easier to dodge. Even for extreme mode primal battles difficulty was adjusted thinking of this.
    It's not YoshiP saying it, but the part bolded really pissed me off, as my connections to the NA/EU servers are usually at 100ms ping from California to their servers in Canada. The issue seemed to be fixed at one point but it's back again after the 2.15 hot fix for me and my wife.

    I'm sure a lot of us are getting 100ms+ ping and experiencing this issue.

    Lag sucks, and it's never a simple problem to fix. And simply no MMO is immune to it.

    No, but the fact he appears to agree doesn't fill me with warm fuzzies. Plenty of games are challenging while allowing 3 digit ms. My friend on the west coast does heroic raids in WoW on a server on the east coast. Tripple digit ms is normal for him.

    Or, you know, they could just add in more randomness to the NMs attacks rather than a fixed rotation and rely less on cheap super moves that absolutely have to be dodged. Worked fine for years in other games.

    Getping zapper and shut up lol. The fact that pingzapper and WTFast programs ACTUALLY work and make the lag almost 0 is proof enough for me that the problem is not really with SE but with the way that the Internet Providers are routing the packets to the datacenters. Try them out, they all have free trials and thencome back here and complain... I bet you wont.
