    Yep. That's because other companies like Blizzard are much more efficient with their development time. SE's developers are inefficient because they spend so much time in development, yet do not end up with a quality product that justifies such long development times.

I bet if we had AA from the start, people would have complained and want a new battle system.
    People complains mostly when there is a reason for it and the survey results from Yoshida's pool are the proof that the current battle system is one of the biggest complaints.

    A few more answers to "auto-attack"-related questions we've seen pop up:
    - Disciples of Magic will have an auto-attack when in close combat range
    - Attack speed will differ based on the weapon used by each class

    The whole 'swinging at the air' spirit/phantom dart auto attack they have sucks pretty bad, I was kinda hoping they'd be adjusted to compensate in other ways for not having one.

    Will the weapons themselves have a delay listed on them?

    Or does each class have it's own delay?

    Based on Bayohne's response regarding close-range, I think the DOM auto-attack is just going to be staff/club bonk-bonking, not darts.

    Will you see if the development team will look into Auto-attack for any ability you select?

    Aika Online is a quick example of how this works. No matter which ability you select it will auto-execute the same ability until you select a different ability (as long as you are eligible to keep using them). I would like to see something similar or more advanced than Aika.

    Why is this line even there:

    - Attack speed will differ based on the weapon used by each class


    If the delay was on each individual weapon he would have posted:

    - Attack speed will differ based on the weapon.


    Looks like each class is getting its own delay. NOT each weapon individually.



    GLD will attack every 1.4 seconds
    LNC will attack every 1.3 seconds
    MRD will attack every 2 seconds

    and so on...

    (just hypothetical examples)



    Clarification Devs?
