The fact that there hasn't been as much crashing is why there is now a lot of overcrowding. The only limitation it is currently presenting is having to walk to a retainer, which to me, adds in immersion.I really doubt that it's meant to be temporary, when a counter/AH/text based system would be easier to implement.
The ONLY problem with MW is that it renders each retainer. That's what's causing awkwardness, zone separation, crashes, limitations, overhead, etc. If they turn the system into something that no longer renders the retainers, meaning you simply browse to a retainer from a text menu, it will be infinitely better than what it is now.
Lol, I love it!I think maybe just some flowers here and there, not a long corridoor have it as a square big room with stalls in the middle and around so you run different directions. Break the mold. And have the NPC's do different things, could be just filing a sword if they have one for sale, or talking with other npcs (with no dialogue just the illusion), sitting down, resting on crates etc. Anything that gives it life would do me =)
I dont mind the system i just hate how dull it is, so thats my only issue!
And it is funny that time spent walking is the same if not faster then bidding on items in ffxi or buying an item on WoW and running to a mail box.. No AH is "quick and easy" I played ffxi 6-7 years and for 12 hours a day I hated using th AH. It took so long due to not seeing proces and in most cases the price was higher then the list of last sold. It can take me up to 2 hours to fully gear my jobs from the ground up in ffxi. It takes me 10 min in ffxiv. I love the MW because how easy it is to use andthat I'm not stuck in a menue. No AH has a single menu you, pretty much ffxiv search = ffxi AH with improvement in saying what ward sells what. AND is organzised down to low/mid/high level gear. Only issue is having the gear actually be there. Which is an AH issue also.
