It hurts everyone as they have to develop content with solo only players in mind - They already develop content with lowest common denominator in mind.

No they wouldn't, just leave the dungeons exactly as they are, just allow us to go into them by ourselves, leave the encounters the exact same. Gear and levels will make them solo'able. It's just a simple matter of letting you go in by yourself into a dungeon to kill things for the loot.



This really should've been the last post in this thread. Terrible idea, and OPneedNerfs shot it down perfectly.If any dungeon was toned down to be made solo-able, the drops would have to be abysmal or else there'd be no point in doing the same content as a party anymore.
When you think of it that way, that'd just mean the developers would require the time and resources to create something that few people would ever use and some would be unhappy about.
Kinda pointless if you ask me.

So I think everyone has completely misunderstood what I'm asking for here. I don't want anything about the dungeons to change in any way as far as mobs/mechanics. I just wish to be able to enter the dungeons of my choice and kill the mobs inside there on my higher level by myself. No xp gained or anything like that. I'd just be farming mob drops and boss loot for my set collections and personal entertainment.

There may be some exceptions where bosses can be solod by any class/job, but in general there's no way you do that unless they remove the level syncing, which would be a change to the dungeon.
Mind you, I'd love to be able to go into Brayflox as level 50 and farm away to make sure I get my Battlemage set and other sets that drop in there, or enter the darkhold for that places drops, but I don't see level sync restrictions being lifted even if they open up for soloing/enter with chocobo...

The farming is what SE is trying to avoid, less loot is distributed between a party of 4 and 8 in the sense of how that item is used/reused/broken down/sold. I know it sounds funny, this is something every MMO has to balance and only a small amount of people understand. It would saturate the market. Those drops you want to farm, to turn into seals, to get exp scrolls, to level your crafting job, to make the piece of gear you wanted to make, to sell for gil, for someone else to buy, etc... Basically, all things effect how many items are brought in or taken out of the game world. SE has to look at the large picture, but only to a certain extend and that's mostly pace/rate at which items are brought into the game world, we players look at our own picture, or rather just a small puzzle piece.So I think everyone has completely misunderstood what I'm asking for here. Not misunderstood. You just wouldn't be able to do it without those changes. Countless MMO's allow it, it's one of my favorite things to do for farming and collecting gear pieces. And as I've said, let us go in solo without the level sync. If I went and bought 3 other accounts and just que'd up myself and quad boxed it, it would be the exact same thing, I just really don't want to pay for 3 more accounts just to farm mid level dungeons for a few set pieces I'd like to have.
