Do they reward the vanity items with a time limit? like only first 200 people to get clear get the vanity item?
I wouldn't know, I'm an FF fan and don't care much for most MMOs, especially WoW.
I find these threads hilarious really, I cleared content in other games during the first wave, I didn't need any feeling of achievement other than being among the first. After I cleared it and had it on farm, who the hell cared if it was made easier? That just made it easier for me to gear up alts or farm for a specific piece that might have been a lower item level, but had amazing itemization, or run GDKP raids to make some gold.
Was I among the best geared on the server on my main? Yes. Did that give me leave to lord it over other people? No, that shit was just stupid. Nobody but you should care when or how you did something, period.
Not so true, it's easy to get full ivl 90 gear without ever stepping into coil. People just have to run T1-5 the first day of 2.2 and then T6-9 is completely accessible.
You make it sound like a face roll when we don't exactly know the nature of the nerfs is yet. Twin has so many mechanics it will have to be excessive to make it DF level face roll. I predict sales groups.
I'm confident any group that hasn't downed twin by then will be well behind on the 6-9 curve so why does it matter.
Not so much a people limit as much as a time limit. GW2 has some good examples. The jubilee event that occurred about five months back had a vanity pet only rewarded to people who could beat the hardest boss in the arena portion of the event. The rest of the rewards were easily accessible, but there was just a tiny minion only accessible to the most skilled players while the event was active.
Wow has an abundance of these types of rewards, such titles, achievements, and mounts that were only obtainable while the content was relevant.
I think stuff like a title or insignia is not game breaking. Anything like mounts and minions should stay available after nerfs.
Does not matter to me much to be honest with you. I just don't see "your reward is starting the new coil turns first" as a good point. Unless twin remains a gating mechanism, the new coil turns will be easily accessible. Both of our points rely on assumption. You assume people will be stuck in T1-5 because the nerfs will be light, I assume people with full myth gear will be able to blow right through t1-5 because of heavy nerfs. You make it sound like a face roll when we don't exactly know the nature of the nerfs is yet. Twin has so many mechanics it will have to be excessive to make it DF level face roll. I predict sales groups.

So far the only proposed nerf is really the echo buff, we have no information on anything else other than removal of lockouts.
I'd like to buy you a beer.A big Heeeeellllll nooooo! lol
Legacy players didn't get anything special on their relics from 1.0. And they invested a lot more time and effort into them than current 2.0'ers.
I don't think anyone who completed lolBCoB deserves a damn thing.
Completing 1 FIGHT more than the community does not make them "Saviors of the world".
Heck I wouldn't even give them Maat's sock or his dirty draws.
That's exactly what I feel though, the nerfs won't be so heavy. The multiple pass/fail mechanics will take more than an echo buff to render trivial and I think it will still at least have enough difficulty where pug groups will be spending the first week getting it down, let alone farming.
But in any case those are the sort of people who need to wait for a mrhappy video before downing content, so it hardly matters for the progression race.
People that beat the content beforehand already GOT their reward. It was called: 'Having the awesome loot before everyone else.' It's no different than buying a new game for $60 when it comes out. A year later when people get it for $20, do you get pissed off? Yes, they are getting it for less than you, but you got to play it before them.
It's the same thing here. You worked hard and got your loot before everyone else. And now, you'll get to go plug away at the new content before all of those people and(likely) get the new loot before them. Congratulations.
Why do you need something else handed to you?
