It's standard in other games that top tier raids/activities reward exclusive vanity stuff. People from 1.0 should have had something more to show for their relics, they at least got an exclusive mount and tattoo.A big Heeeeellllll nooooo! lol
Legacy players didn't get anything special on their relics from 1.0. And they invested a lot more time and effort into them than current 2.0'ers.
I don't think anyone who completed lolBCoB deserves a damn thing.
Completing 1 FIGHT more than the community does not make them "Saviors of the world".
Heck I wouldn't even give them Maat's sock or his dirty draws.
Do they reward the vanity items with a time limit? like only first 200 people to get clear get the vanity item?
I wouldn't know, I'm an FF fan and don't care much for most MMOs, especially WoW.
Not so much a people limit as much as a time limit. GW2 has some good examples. The jubilee event that occurred about five months back had a vanity pet only rewarded to people who could beat the hardest boss in the arena portion of the event. The rest of the rewards were easily accessible, but there was just a tiny minion only accessible to the most skilled players while the event was active.
Wow has an abundance of these types of rewards, such titles, achievements, and mounts that were only obtainable while the content was relevant.
I think stuff like a title or insignia is not game breaking. Anything like mounts and minions should stay available after nerfs.
Wow generally does it based on a content patch when they do it. If you beat the boss during that content cycle (before the next raid comes out) you're rewarded an achievement and a mount.
