As someone who clears all of the content weekly, no, we don't need anything to show for what we've done. The content isn't even hard enough to warrant it.

One) it's not about how difficult it was, it's about the investment & having nothing to show in return (the gear doesn't count).
Two) that's fine for you; there are thousands of people who hate the homogenization, think it's archaic, & would much prefer to have something small to show for their efforts than nothing at all (again, the gear doesn't count).

Removing the lockout is fine, it was always a bad way to extend short lasting content, same thing with Allagan stone caps. Now nerfing difficulty itself I think is really condescending to players in general, say I'm a fresh 50 who just got the game on 2.2 launch, instead of experiencing the content with its original difficulty and going through the same journey and getting the satisfaction of finally beating those challenges and catching up with the latest content I can just jump straight into it because the newest things are the only ones that count and screw old challenges. There's no real satisfaction in that and it's a bit insulting for lack of a less dramatic word, kinda what happened before release with certain quests and dungeons getting nerfed into the ground.

Just because you beat content before a nerf doesn't make you entitled to squat. Can't you just be happy with the satisfaction of know what you did without have to epeen it? Seriously no one really cares when "you" cleared content except "you".
I can't wait for this entitlement generation to be replaced by the next...

That's neat... one) this' for this suggestion is for those 'you's' who care... and two) there is no entitlement here whatsoever (do you hear complaining, do you see me saying they 'deserve it'? No, I say it would be a nice way of honoring those efforts).

People really need to feel that special because they beat something? I think they did get something its called Allagan Gear and possibly a Weapon. And guess what they will be the ones doing T6-T9 while a majority of players are still trying to beat T4/T5 after the nerf (guess it depends). These players who fill entitled because they beat T5 weekly are just a minority of the player base. So no matter what they will be the ones who are always doing the new content while others are left in the dust.
And if anyone should be getting any special entitlement it should be BG for being the Worlds First to clear it legit.
If it makes players feel special, SE should just give players who beat T5 before nerf a Special Mount. Maybe a ADS/Caduces/DreadKnight mount.
But everyone who Feels like they are entitled to get something special because they beat content needs to get over themselves. Do players who beat Crystal Tower deserve something special? Players that will beat T6-T9 deserve something? What about all content? Yes they do deserve something its called Gear and Weapons which I believe most content already gives as a reward. So that is your something special, You get to run around with Gear that other player won't be able to obtain for a long time.
This a million times. It will be so nice to be able Coils with other players besides a static. I play with my wife and a few friends but we don't do Coils together because I'm in a static and they aren't.
Also OP Gesser this really isn't directed at you I've just been seeing a lot of this "We deserve stuff".

Anyone that has every played any kind of mmo has been in there shoes. O how I remember molten core 40 man.... I was so devastated by bwl, AQ, burning crusade; I went out and got a brand on my arm depicting how I was one of the pioneers that played content that required a full 40 man raid. Some odd years later I look at my arm and think wtf...who cares.
It's not like you guys are Lewis and Clark trailblazing...ESP OP since he hasn't done t1. I appreciate the fact that some people that have cleared the content has stepped forward and said they didn't feel like they needed anything. I'm in the same boat as many...t1-4 on clear working on 5 - I'm an advocate against entitlement and will have 5 down before 2.2 just be happy with the achievement for beating t5 - there ya go you can have that. Then those that are wanting something can look at it whenever you like and know one else will be none the wiser.
Btw, I'm kidding I didn't go get a brand. And to above poster...are you kidding me... A mount.. That sounds way to much like world of Warcraft - that is the worst idea ever. I thought wow was dumb for doing that, I despise everything blizzard did to that game and I hope to god SE does not follow in their footsteps to go even further to reward people who think they deserve something for clearing content besides the regular items that drop from said content.

They could just make the gear a different color or something.

I think an insignia or title for a t5 kill before 2.2 is a great idea. It's not game breaking, but it is a little nod to the players who put in the time and effort. Titles are not even visible (unless you examine a player). I don't want a mount or minion, it would be nice just to have a little nod of recognition from the devs for beating their most difficult challenges when they are current.
