    It sounds really insecure to get this hung up over it. Worried that you won't get 6-9 loot fast enough?

    Not so true, it's easy to get full ivl 90 gear without ever stepping into coil. People just have to run T1-5 the first day of 2.2 and then T6-9 is completely accessible.
