which will drop gear worse then Coil2 but better then Coil 1

I hope that won't be the case because then it really would invalidate Coil 1, unless the difficulty is scaled so that it's expected for players to have full Allagan and struggle through while still being easier than Coil 2 - but I don't see that happening, especially with how easy Labyrinth of the Ancients is.
