I disagree with and have counters for almost every point you made.
The only 2 things I can see eye to eye with on you are:
*The community is rubbish and whinny (paraphrasing)
*And the fact that you elude to these points as being your opinion/s.

you cant have these threads guys, SE keeps locking them and saying your off topic....fucken lol

As much as I enjoy FFXIV 2.0, I would really like to see Yoshi team stepping it up with the content for both casual and hardcore players alike.
With 2.1 we know that the team is capable of delivering a big bag of contents in one go (despite CT supposed to have been available since launch). However in all honesty these contents weren't exactly well tested before their release. For example, the PVP system, which despite the recent balance patch, have left me and many friends with a bad taste as well as doubt for the future PVP contents.
I know that the team had their hand tied since release from unprecedented number of logins and overloaded server, but now all of that is more or less smoothed out. Everything will come down to how well the future content patch will live up to the previous patch and so on to keep players like my FC and I motivated to log in and play. Also, I'm not the type to judge a patch based on the dev previews, but I hope Yoshi and the team moved on after 2.2 instead of relying on the new shiny primals as the patch highlight. After 2.2, I believe it's time for a couple new zones, a new base class and a job or two tied to it ontop of the latest CT and coil rollout.
As for my enjoyment of this game, yes, I think my money was worth the fun time meeting new friends and adventuring with them even if it does get a bit dry after the 2nd half of a patch cycle (some of us are beginning to log on less and playing sidegames). Is this a bad thing? Yes and no. I realize that my core group belong to that small demographic that tends to eat up new contents faster than the dev can churn out another platter. I don't blame the dev for that since it's an accepted fact for most MMOs, but at the same time, I am finding it hard to enjoy the side contents like beastman dailies and treasure hunting. They are great ideas to add replayability and log in motivation, but I find them to be a bit lacking in excitement and challenge. How about letting you earn token/seals to enter an instance fight (ala BCNM) from beastman dailies? Or giving treasure hunters the chance to find mini pieces of a big map and combine them for an epic open world raid that'd actually require 8 people?
Anyway those are just my observations and suggestions. I am still happy with the way this game is going despite the downsides, but I believe that Yoshi and the team can't afford to drop the ball for any future patch. It must be just as good if not better than 2.1 and peak out on the first expansion pack. Yes, I will hold out at least for the first expac this year but this time, the expectations of many people including mine will be high.

Easy fix . Allow people to blacklist others , bit harsh tho so maybe allow people to "like" or "dislike" other players so that you are less likely to get paired with those players again .
This will never happen tho because SE know that people will quit game when they cant get groups because they are bad players .
Maybe content is just too hard in this game for some people.
The graphics ..... its like playing FF9, the details on clothes and armour are half assed, unrealistic and flat, this really bugs me ..... people blame it on PS3 limitations, funny how FF12-13 looked amazing and this looks meh !!
With this being FF14 I expected the game and graphical detail to go forward and not backwards.
(There is enough bridges on the details to cross the Atlantic ocean)

They did use the crystal tool engine from ffxiii for 1.0 though

Am I one of the few that plays the game for what it is and if I don't like it I'll unsubscribe?

No. I had always thought that was the normal thing to do but certain sects of the FFXIV community have taught me that I should be stomping my feet and bawling like a spoiled 5 year old instead.

I don't dislike this game I don't see any reason to hate on it but I too will probably quit my sub. I've already started playing rift which has made a bigger impression on me then FF14 arr altho I probably won't play rift as it seems to be a dying game.
Anyhow . I played ff11 for maybe 3 years.. now I understand the company heading away from that direction that's totally understandable but yoshi and co have stripped everything and I mean everything that made 11 charming..
The 2 biggest things I dislike about this game are there are too many teleports.. I don't feel like I'm in any kind of immersive world.. I just teleport everywhere.. it just kills any kind of immersion into the world of eorzea. The zones are small and there isn't anything interesting to explore. The whole game feels like a lobby and mor dhona is an ugly lobby
Classes/ jobs have ZERO customisation. The ff11 main/ sub system had so much more to offer and so do has nearly every mmo I've ever played

There was no real customization in FFXI, either. You could use a bad subjob for your main job, but it was bad and useless and people would make fun of you for doing it.
You can use bad cross-class actions in FFXIV, so I don't really see how anything's changed.
