Sell Fantasia on the Mogstation

I'm far from surprised, not sure why you assumed I am. It just never really began until now (when they will sell the potion there).

I'm never going to use the cash shop. It will just encourage SE to have more things in there (that could otherwise be obtainable in game- which you know, I p2p for already.)
Just seems too greedy to me.

So should they hand them out for free in a limitless supply? If people want to spend a few extra bucks to re-do their character then there should be an option for it. However it should have some sort of price associated with to one discourage non-stop changes and two profit (SE is not a charity).

Most mmos offer a service where you can pay to recustomize your character, transfer servers, or otherwise do account related things that have next to no effect on actual gameplay. That shouldn't be confused with a cash shop, which offers direct bonuses to players willing to pay that gives them a definitive advantage over other players.

Of course it's greedy, this is a business. But if people are willing to pay 20$ to go from a miqote to a lalafell, that's obviously lucrative and probably will be implimented. It has next to no effect on you or your gameplay experience, and the notion that a game company exists solely to cater to your own individual tastes and give you everything you could ever desire for a paltry 15$ a month is a little naive. My point: Paying for non-gameplay changing services like transfers or character customization does not = cash shop. You can theorycraft all day about what will happen if it's introduced, but at the end of the day what people are asking for in this thread is simply to be able to purchase a Fantasia with money. No one is asking for a cash shop to buy lottery bags that may have an iLVL 100 sword but probably have a useless materia instead. No one wants that.

If they limit the "cash shop" to just server transfers, name changes, and fantasia, I have absolutely no problem with it.

It is when they sell things like mounts, xp boosts, vanity gear, etc that it starts to rub me the wrong way.

I also agree, if the Mog Shop offers anything besides vanity items I'll likely quit. In a time when subscription models seem to be dwindling and F2P becoming more popular, I choose to play a subscription based game because I believe it offers a better quality experience and those that fork out the most real life cash aren't the people that get to had all the advantages.

If the Mog Shop starts selling boosts, you'll probably see "Must have X-boost from M$ or we'll kick!" in the Part Finder.

uhmm maybe it's just me but what stops the Fantasia phial from being available ingame again?
With a 30 day cooldown and maybe buyable with 40k grand company seals it'd be a great way to change your character as a refreshment since the game encourages you to only play 1 char all day and night.

I'd be fine with a name-change to be mog-station only since I can assume it's quite the hassle but appearance itself... I dunno I dunno, please discuss this with your team again and think about a non-greedy solution as we're already paying monthly.

Relax people, I HIGHLY doubt Square would sell actual in-game armor for money -_- you are causing drama over nothing, please stop.

The Mogstation purchasable items will most likely be cosmetics and character services (fantasia, name change, server transfer)

We've checked again with the team on selling Fantasia, and have confirmed that this item will be available for purchase at a later date. We don't have anymore information as to when it will be available however but we will be sure to update you as soon as we know.

Appreciate that something was said after 3 months, but this is still too vague. Later date? March? July? 2015? Yeah, it's not something to get hopeful over.

Looks like I'm stuck looking bad for an indefinite amount of time. This is very disappointing to hear. I had hoped we'd see Fantasia available tomorrow. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

It really sucks having to play a character that I don't like the look of.
