If you're locked on, why not just use Standard controls? It basically temporarily puts you in standard mode. Only difference is that if locking on, if an aoe spawns, you need to unlock, then move or you're flat out dead. At least standard can just swing their cmaera and strafe out.

No, it doesn't put you in standard mode. Locked on is different. It will keep you at the same distance as you strafe. Standard you still have to turn as you strafe to do so.
