New battle music please or at least an option to turn it off so that we can listen the default dungeon BGM. How hard can it be to add more tracks in-game?

Just to clarify, that option only allows you to auto-skip transportation (i.e. airship) cutscenes. Which nobody uses anyway. Why we don't have an option to skip all cutscenes is beyond me. They are cool the first time you view them, and then become a pain in the ass for the entirety of the game.
I'd really love for a dungeon music loop option, the battle theme is so tired at this point. Boss theme is even worse. Just let me listen to Pharos sirius...

While I never do PvP, this raises a sense of urgency on the idea I had a while back to put a number underneath the health bar of your target telling you how far away it is (4y, 10y, 15y, etc). Originally I figured it would be a good idea for ranged stuff that can only be executed at a distance (like shoulder tackle), but if distance determines damage in PvP, I would think it would be a much smarter idea at this point, far better than just eyeballing it and guesstimating distance. There are also tons of unexplained mechanics. In PVP, Bards take a potency hit when they are farther away from a target, but we have zero idea how much and from what distance. Is it a 50% loss at 20 yalms? 20% loss at 20 yalms? Do we hit the same at 10 yalms as we do at 1 yalm? No one knows.
I can't even explain how disheartening it is that Community Reps respond to posts about having freckles on the aesthetician, yet threads like this with legitimate issues that affect everyone get overlooked or ignored.
TERA does this and I highly doubt it would be impossible in XIV. I agree. This is how it is done in the single player FF games. You equip or even just look at a new weapon or piece of armor and it shows you what stats go up and which ones go down. I'm sorry to those of you who love figuring out the math and stuff on your own, but mathing and arguing over the results just doesn't seem very fun in my opinion.
GOD, so much this. I'm sick of the battle music, we need a way to disable it. Also agree with every other point made.
5. Battle music is overused. Dungeons have awesome opening themes that get shut off after the first minute and it defaults back to the same battle theme we've heard ad nauseam. There isn't even music in the background between trash pulls. Just silence, battle theme, silence, battle theme. It definitely kills the immersion and makes all the dungeons just seem to bleed together. The same applies to the overworld. We hear the same battle music a billion times while there are incredible pieces of music that you only hear for a minute or so at random spots if you aren't doing anything. But then it just reverts back to silence once they finish unless you attack something. We need a repeat music option and an option to turn off the battle theme altogether (or they need to add a ton of battle themes).
Hey all,
We brought up some of the issues raised in this thread and wanted to share the responses with you now:
In regards to showing the chance for critical hits, the team remarked that there are currently no plans to display this in the UI. Players can assume simply that as the stats that affect this grow larger, the effect will become greater.
The team is currently looking into an option to "skip all" cutscenes. The team has also been looking into a better incorporation of Chocobo Companions including allowing you to register for Duty Finder while having your companion out, as well as riding your companion while he's called. While the timing for these hasn't been decided we'll keep you aware when we hear more.
