I think they just don't want us leveling up so quickly as to rush through the game. :c I agree fatigue can be annoying but I enjoy stopping to smell the flowers and do something diffrent from time to time, the fagitue reminds me to do this. ・w・

That's why you buy gear that meshes. ARC LNC and THM can share a good deal of leather and the Acton body armors. If you don't mind if I ask, what do you do with all of your storage that you can't have a fits-many suit of gear every 10 (25/35/on up) levels? I only fill out that much by doing every craft, gather, magic, and war.
39 38 34 30 28 27 24 are my combat classes.
Edit @ below: Trolling is having an opinion? Got it, Websters updated.
srsly this again?
I guess it's time already to use the ignore feature. Later troll, try harder.
I regret my personal attack. The main point of my post was missed.
I place emphasis on this part of my post
I played this way, and have only ever seen the first rank of surplus (10%) . Only making a suggestion.the system was in place to stop you surpassing everyone else in terms of rank, but let you build up your character with other classes to combine them into 1.This is so more people are around the same rank and so they can party together. You can tell hardcore players from casual by the variety of skills they use, giving hardcore players an advantage.
Looking at the SP boosts now, it's very possible to get to R50 in a week or two with the surplus system gone. Theres NO way I , and many people would want that. The casual players would just cry.
Alot of people here are saying people quit because of surplus. From my experience, people are quitting because they have hit R50.Theres nothing more to do (lack of content but more will certainly come) and they don't feel like starting another class. One of the main attractive things about FFXI and FFXIV that makes them different from the other MMOs was how you could change classes. I'm glad that surplus is in place to stop people from quitting faster than they should because it lets them try out new classes before getting to 50 and saying it was boring.
Also, it doesn't have to be 6 classes. 2 works fine, or 3 if you hate even 10% surplus.

Losing 10% exp. WHAT OH MY GOD.
If can't get to rank 50 in a week like WoW than this game obviously sucks. I mean I haven't even played the game yet because it's so bad so it obviously must be bad.
Why would you be happy to have periodic bonus's to SP/XP removed? Its like having a nitro button to leves. I like getting 850+ sp per mob on some of these 40 leves. Using the fail leve method a static can hit 1-50 in a month.
I dislike it when I hit surplus with any one of my crafting jobs, especially if I had wanted to keep going at it, be at that moment or the next day. Surplus usually does not go away in one day though, so I find it annoying. It'd be a waste of my time and resources to craft through surplus, because then I am limiting myself to the amount of SP I actually should be gaining...
I only have enough time to play ffxiv on weekends and very rarely will login on weekdays. When i heard about surplus system I was actually really happy because now I could finally keep pace with all the hardcore players that live in this game.
This is not the case at all, the surplus system does not affect hardcore players if they want to get to 50 they will do it even at 10% sp. I logged on Saturday and had the day off with nothing to do so I played ffxiv for at least 8 hours and in that time my Conjurer, Gladiator, and my Thaumaturage are all in surplus. I don't do any crafting jobs because I simply don't have time for that. I want to spend all my time on ffxiv just leveling conjurer. I don't want to be forced to switch classes.
Oh and most people in my linkshell are the types that play all day everyday (i swear the same people are ALWAYS online) and they all have multiple rank 50's. My highest rank is 27 (with the rest at 1-19) and I'm trying to catch up to them but I'm in surplus! They should be the ones getting punished, if anything I should get a 3x boost to sp for not playing 4/5 of the days that the game has been out (i preordered the collectors edition). Instead I am the one getting punished and it'll take me almost a year to get to 50 in just one class. Even if I were to accomplish this, I wouldn't be an effective character without needed skills from other classes.
What kind of casual player literally logs on EVERY DAY but only for 2 hours. That is what SE was expecting because thats the only way a casual player would benefit. My future for ffxiv is going to do be this.
Login on Saturday
Play as Conjurer for 2-4 hours, hit surplus, and then logoff.
Wait a week and repeat.
As soon as I get charged for a month, I will be quitting.
Why play at all if you plan on quitting >.> that seems like a huge waste of time. Because the monthly charges will come one day..I only have enough time to play ffxiv on weekends and very rarely will login on weekdays. Do you honestly think in two days playtime you should be at the same level as someone who plays all day every day?
