I agree, the lower-mid level fates areas are pretty barren

So do something else until the next pop of that FATE when it will be easier cuz nobody did it since it was too hard the previous time? Am I missing something here?Buffing dungeon exp was very welcoming, and I applaud you for that... but why destroy the variety in levelling?
"A FATE's difficulty will now be determined by the number of players who participated in the previous"
This is a stupid change that needs to be reverted... I can't do fates because last time it spawned there was 30 people? now my 10-15 players are gonna die..
3 full-groups couldn't even kill the adds before courl king in South Shroud because each add was taking way too long to kill and were dealing damage equivalent to a boss.
revert your FATE changes to 2.0 please.
And FATEs bred nothing but bad players, good riddance IMO. Yes I know there are still plenty of terrible players at high level, but it's getting better.

I have an FC member who is a casual and is finally to the crystal tower point in the game. She needs to do the fates to get into the tower but no one else is doing them. I advised her that I would help out but i'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue...
Race to fate on chocos, spam abilities for 20 seconds, repeat. That's how you should level every job, they should have kept the old fates and let DoL and DoH join them too.
Since their difficulty is based on previous spawn, then either someone is doing them or you could easily take them down with 2 people + chocobos.
why so much hate? bad players are ones who do not help others but bash them insteadSo do something else until the next pop of that FATE when it will be easier cuz nobody did it since it was too hard the previous time? Am I missing something here?

While fates were way too easy and mindless before, some of them feel overtuned now, like the scaling is off.
Due to fate scaling, it's just not worth the time to XP reward to do a fate now, which is stupid. I understand pushing people into dungeons, but who else isn't sick of seeing Satasha or Tam Tara now? It's the same principle, but people are now funneled into dungeons. Soon enough, people are going to be sick of them and bitching to change it in some way or another. "BUT BUT BUT YOU PLAY TO HAVE FUN AND YOU HAVE FUN BY TAKING THE FULL 15 MINUTES TO POTENTIALLY BEAT THE FATE CAUSE OF SCALING LOLOL URBAD!! LOLOL!!" Just no. I enjoy difficulty, but right now fates can't be soloed in the time allotted. Is this the intended plan? For people to skip fates? Sure as hell seems like it as I just blow by them now, and I've seen quite a few people doing the same. Fates are going the way of Rifts in RIFT, an annoyance that isn't worth the time or reward.
Must be your shard then, as on Odin see multiple shouts LFM 7/8 FATE party. Just that now, between leves in Coerthas and Dungeons was able to jump into FATEs more than 10 seconds after they started and still get gold solo. The fates are borked now it feels like your fighting hero level npcs. I have no clue what they did to them or who did not test this but they are horrible now. The ex is still faster then duty finder but the mobs are beyond overpowered. plus not having any fate groups option from level 0-40 stinks. To Play as a dps and que for 45 mins for a 45 min duty finder run is not a good time for my 3 hours of gameplay per day.
The major downside to this is the world feels dead now people are only in the major cities now it is like playing litch king wow again. dead world high pop cities.
Even did a FATE with 3-4 other people after the pack had killed the big dragon, we pulled one or two at a time, burnt em, rinse/repeat. FATE complete. and it was a helluva lot more fun than spamming one button in the middle of them. How anyone finds spamming blizz 2, spamming Flash or dot-tab-dot-tab-dot-tab any fun whatsover I have no idea how. I felt braincells dieing when I tried it with BLM :S
But not everyone likes challenge in any form. Don't like to test themselves or push themselves to get better. Then when they get hit by a modicum amount of content that actually pushes them, instead of adapting they come and whine about it on the forums.

I'd go on hours and hours grinding FATEs, to me they were fun. Doing Copperbell Mines for the 40th time wouldn't make me play any better than now.
Dungeons require a commitment of 40 or so minutes for each run, are always the same and before Stone Vigil, are kind of boring IMO. I don't understand why SE did this, when people in WoW complains daily about the dead world and the lobby game.
The problem is that they overtuned the Fates. It's almost impossible to kill the Couerl King now for example. The Rogue fortress thing atop Quarrymill is now always occupied by enemies, and it goes the full 30 min fate without it going anywhere. I saw Cancer chilling in costa the other day, with not a soul daring to even try. I haven't seen how Dragonhead is doing, but I cant imagine it being any better.
While I hated FATE grinding, it was nice when you only needed like 5% for your next level and didn't want to do Tam Tara for the 11th time. Now that's no longer an option. I've pretty much had to resort to battle leves to get that last % off.
