How much gil does the *average* player have?

I'd say 500k is around average, your going to have some with a couple million and then a little more with 10+ million. Your offer of 1-3 million is a little overboard. Also the really wealthy prob won't post their amounts and you won't really get an accurate avg due to some not visiting the forums! and fewer responding to your post. They will sit on their Gil mountains and possibly increase personal housing costs lol since SE doesn't want someone to buy an entire ward lol.

I like to keep around 150k in the bank. i rarely go out of my way to make Gil though. Just blew 110k on a HQ Vanya Robe of Healing for my SCH though .. down to 75k now XD

Thanks to undercutters in the market rarely any of my gathered items sell nowadays, and 2.1 has deteriorated the materia market a great score so now I rarely ever try to spiritbond gear given how the gears' prices in the market exceed the selling price for most grade 4 materia.

That's why I asked for average players. The wealthy aren't average, else they wouldn't be wealthy. I was also hoping that people would report how much their FC mates or friends had to make up for the general lack of forum visitors, which, fortunately, people have been doing. A rough estimate seems to be below 500k, so 2 mil to run around the world and potentially spend hours looking for things seemed fair to me.

ive made around 10 mil, before the patch. only 2.5 after the patch and now stuck in limbo. se really screwed the economy with the housing/mats available from npcs/materia iv saturation/etc
