How much gil does the *average* player have?

I know this varies from server to server but I'm curious as to what everyone thinks the average player has. I want to hold a small contest/event for my server but I don't know how much to set the prizes to make it worthwhile.

I think I can consider myself a average player in terms of gil. I don't farm or craft, usually stay towards the battles and excitement. I tend to have around 100k to 50k pretty commonly, unless I get a good sell on a convertible materia

Leveling a fresh char from 1-50 with storyline gets you about 200k+.

I have...20K? It really depends on how much materia I sell and what stuff I randomly buy that day...

I don't have any crafting, had this character for a month now almost, and I float between 250-500k

Also, the person wh0 said that you get over 200k for story, actually, If you save all your tokens, you get approx., 160k. (assuming you took only tokens like I did)
And that is a decent starting point for endgame.

I live paycheck to paycheck. Whatever I make, is immediately spent on materia etc for my pvp gear.

Only thing I've found worth buying, down to 160k. I don't craft.

Sitting at 2.4m atm, don't actively make gil daily, but I sell a few things here and there when I see them low on stock.

I started on release on Malboro, then moved to Balmung (legacy) with the free transfers. Lvled all DoH/DoL to 50 progressively at the same time while being completely self-sufficient (including shards), so I never really spent any gil on the Market Board except for some materia I needed for relics or crafting gear melds.

And sorry for the slight derail, I just had to ask, what is that headgear you're wearing?
As far as I can see, there is no Glacial head piece O.o
