How much gil does the *average* player have?

I'm sitting at around 402,000... that's mostly from grinding WP/AK and doing the new Dailies in 2.1

Donating 30k~100k / day for our FC housing since 2.1 and yet I still have 1m~+ for repairs, teleports, foods, and shards.

And yes, I still consider myself a casual player.

had about 250k after first job leveled with all story done. Earned about another 150k leveling monk and selling the items/materia gained. I think that's prolly waht i earned as WHM. MOney ain't that hard to come by till you go looking for a million

Now I'm down to 200k since 2.1 broke my only source of income (weaving).

Well, judging from FC housing, the only big gil sink to come soon would be personal housing, and it'll probably be cheaper than FC housing.

So we're probably looking at at most 2mil for a personal house? Otherwise there's very little we can spend gil on, isn't it?

I see no reason to believe Personal housing won't be as insanely over priced as Fc based on the Fear that everythign will be bought out quickly used as an excuse for the FC levels.

I am saying if their reasoning for why the house prices were insane is a legitimate concern, personal housing will have the same issues.. a thousand times over. So they would have to use a similar system

Well, I am on a legacy server, playing this game since April 2010 with all crafting and gatherring classes capped and 5 or 6 luminary tools since 2012. So I am surely not representative as an average player, but nevertheless it may be interesting.

Before 2.1, I was able to make between 700k and 1 million gil per day, with maybe 3 hours of gathering and crafting.
After 2.1 and the market crash, it dropped to an average of 50k per day.

I usually carry between 10k and 100k with me nowadays, because whenever I have 30k or more, I put this into the company chest.
