How much gil does the *average* player have?

ive made around 10 mil, before the patch. only 2.5 after the patch and now stuck in limbo. se really screwed the economy with the housing/mats available from npcs/materia iv saturation/etc

with mobs drop gil in low level dungeon and people probably grind more dungeons in 2.1 I would say for a fresh lv50 who did most of his side quests and always pick up gil as requests' reward he should have around 300k. Then it all depends his spending behavoir. If he just get a normal and ask for free melding and gear up with myth/DL only he should get richer and richer. If he decides to pick up a DoL/DoH then he will get richer faster.

Since I'm on a legacy server and Square took averages into account when deciding pricing I must have multiple millions. I can't find that 10-20 million I should have based on their logic but it must be there, they said so.

About a million here, but I spend often and don't actively try to make it. Husband has just shy of 20m from crafting alone which he made in the past few weeks. For what it's worth, he's never made/sold a 2 star item.

200k range since that's what you'll have for finishing the main story.

Fresh 50 from 2.0 without crafting or gathering should have about 200k~300k, less if leveling mostly through dungeons, more if having done all the side quests, leves, etc. And if they have kept on playing (instead of how some people just run BC and log off for the week), they probably have at least 500k~600k by now.

In 2.1, since a lot of dungeons now drop gil, and gil income is generally higher, I'd venture a guess of about 400k~500k for a fresh character that started in 2.1.

For a character that started in 2.0, and have been leveling crafting through leves (but not actively selling products), we're probably looking at 900k~1mil more or less as a base.
