I see and do not worry I was not looking for some "get rich quick" scheme. I simply wanted advice. And yes, abusing teleporting to avoid all that running is one of the reasons for being poor. Probably the main, so I decided to run more, teleport less. And does this mean relying on crafting as a means of income is pointless?

Relying on crafting for money is incredibly difficult. Yes you can do melds for tips very easily but as far as endgame crafting goes, you need to level up multiple jobs in order to guarantee HQ on those crafts. This takes an insane amount of time and gil to gear out your DoH professions. The profit margins also continue to shrink because more and more people are available now. Also, anything crafted for housing is crafted by friends of the FC, not by random people on the server, so don't count on making any money there either.
