Even selling it on eBay loses you 30-50 dollars depending on which version you're selling. Nobody wants this game for more than $10.
Since the price of collector's recently went down, I went in to pick one up. I bought it from GameStop store 2430 on May 12, 2011 for $24.99. Unless they've stopped selling them since then, they still do carry it. Hardly the point, but just thought folks might like to know. Go pick up your Onion Helms if you can find one!

Yeah. It wasn't easy to find, mind you. Best Buy was out of stock until further notice. Walmart recalled all of theirs a few days before I went in. It still said they had them in stock online, but it wasn't updated for the store's inventory. I went to 3-4 of them until someone told me that. I was worried that the game had died already. From what I understand, they just want the old copies off of the shelves for when they (and hopefully they will get the chance to) re-release the game with the new files.

A friend took a picture of a pallet of FF XIV copies pre release at Best Buy, probably 4 months ago my buddy sent me another picture... FF XIV on mass display at Best Buy selling for $20.
