The Midlander one is just lying on your side with your head propped on one hand. It looks like you're dozing.
I don't understand how this is any different than the current emotes. Have you seen some of the screenshots people post? are they going to ban all emotes outside FC housing??? I hope not.
You understood the opposite I said.
You see, back in the old days when homosexuality was a real reason of discrimination, outing and pride made some sense.
Today, you find so many people out there ready to scream against homophobia, that being a homophobe is pratically a social suicide.
And being gay, today, is not more relevant than liking red over blue.
So, the reason of my answer, is that I hate those behavior, where a gay himself states his orientation like something crucial, even in discussions where it has zero relevance.
He said something like: "Think how bad would feel a 15y dude finding out that behind the pretending nice girl, is hiding a 30y male. And hey, I'm gay, so it's not an anti-gay argument."
And why would anyone think the latter???
He just wanted everybody to know he was gay, with an excuse. That's dumb.
You have cause and no direction. Focus your energy on something meaningful. This is quite literally one of the most pointless things in the world right now (especially right now) to “stand for”. Ignore the things in the game that are broke and focus on something as trivial as this…makes zero sense.Clearly many care. Please do not demean people who think differently from you.
This has nothing to do with wanting to do "dirty" things with an emote and everything to do with opposing an absurd, utterly pointless restriction on content. As a roleplayer, there are many scenes in which a laying down emote could provide significant immersion, such as relaxing on a beach or elsewhere, or when you need to RP someone who is wounded or ill or whathaveyou.
This is one of the most pointless discussions I’ve ever seen in a video game forum.
No one cares about this.
You heard it here first folks, Imapoonu officially speaks for everyone on this forum. Thread over, everyone go home. You have cause and no direction. Focus your energy on something meaningful. /sarcasm
Restricting emotes based on what *some* people *might* use them for is absolutely nuts.
You don't get to define who cares about what. There are people who care about this - or else this thread wouldn't exist. Therefore, someone does actually care. You have cause and no direction. If you have nothing better to do than to belittle and insult posters, please do that in another thread. This is borderline flaming and you need to stop.
You're welcome.
Now hopefully the energy you folks have for making a difference and voicing a need for change can be redirected towards issues more detrimental to ff14's gameplay.
Some of those examples would be: CT's loot system / issues in pvp / problems with the commendation system / minor bugs-glitches discovered in the 2.1 content / amongst several others / etcetera.
No one is saying that voicing concerns over censorship, standing up for certain freedoms, or even venting about something you think is ridiculous (like what I'm doing) is a bad thing. However, this argument is akin to arguing that the "blow kiss" emote is provocative and should be removed. Some things are just not worth arguing about, this is one of those things. I admire the passion in this argument, but I would admire it more if it were to be redirected towards some of the aforementioned issues.
Thanks in advance![]()
This is a contradiction. If it can already be done but you don't see it often then why would adding one more make it happen even more. I have played many MMO where you can lay down ANYWHERE and I have never seen people trying to do inappropriate things. Yes I'm sure it happens but...This emote would promote it much more for an obvious reason.I have a few hilarious and mildly inappropriate pics from 1.0 and ARR involving emotes. It already happens, letting people lay down isn't suddenly going to cause rampant perversion across all servers. It doesn't go on as much as you think
