I'm just a bun boy, doing bun boy things.
Well of course the footage was from other systems, devs have only just begun to get the dev kits so they won't have anything ready for it.

All you've proved is that your definition of incentive to reply the game is not what hardcore games is. I don't even know why we are having this discussion as i think 100% of hardcore gamers and 99% of pple on this forum know what is a game aimed for the hardcore and what is not. Ninja Gaiden 3 is for the hardcore and i don't think you will find anyone else besides you disagreeing with that statement.Odd... I look up official definition for 'hardcore game' and it doesn't give me an 'official' definition that said that its a particular type of game aimed at 'hardcore gamers' It tells me to look at the definition of 'hardcore gamers'.
Anything I saw about 'hardcore game' usually goes into the 'gamers' themselves and one link I saw even said that hardcore gamers tend to stay away from consoles such as the Wii. Conversations I did find on 'what makes a hardcore game' always seem to end the same way as well which is basically that a hardcore game is whatever that specific person finds hardcore and isn't a specific type of game officially, but 'hardcore games' and 'hardcore gamers' depend on the person you speak to.
Actually many gaming sites also say hardcore 'in their opinion' is whatever they think it is. So yes it does seem that while a lot of people do agree that 'x' game can be considered a 'hardcore game' and due to that games within that category are labeled 'hardcore games', it is also dependent on the person playing the games and there is no 100% set definition on what a 'hardcore game' is.
I think the best quote I found is as follows:
So it still seems hardcore, while some games have fallen into that label, is all about the gamer and the affection for gaming. So while yes some games do fall into what people consider hardcore, you can't tell someone that a hardcore game isn't about their opinion because to be honest gaming is all about the players opinion, what they like, don't like etc.
I’m sure you’ll say I’m wrong or stupid etc… you seem to be putting a lot of people down in this thread who don’t agree with you. In the end it’s all about an opinion and people are allowed to have those if others like it or not.
You claim WII U has no hardcore gamersor supposed hardcore games but 80% of the games they showed are hardcore games.
And you're right, hardcore gamers tend to stay away from the WII, that's why Nintendo made the "WII U" which is aimed at satisfying them as much as the casuals and with a line up like darksiders II, tekken, Assassin's creed and Ninja Gaiden 3, i think they are going in the right direction.
I feel like such a noob for asking this but what the hell does /10chars mean?
In other words--to use an analogy--instead of writing the essay themselves, they Googled the subject, downloaded whatever looked good, and then changed a few words around. Because that's going to show people what a great writer they are!
It's actually a meme from the Steam forums, where the minimum number of characters in a message is 10. This forum has the same setup, so you put /10char to reach the limit on a short message.

This is what the system can do. It's early footage too so it's optimal either. I think it will handle these games just fine.

Makes perfect sense. Thank you Quanta.. seems as though these abbreviations are evolving faster than technology, hard to keep up.In other words--to use an analogy--instead of writing the essay themselves, they Googled the subject, downloaded whatever looked good, and then changed a few words around.
