/10char
In other words--to use an analogy--instead of writing the essay themselves, they Googled the subject, downloaded whatever looked good, and then changed a few words around. Because that's going to show people what a great writer they are!
It's actually a meme from the Steam forums, where the minimum number of characters in a message is 10. This forum has the same setup, so you put /10char to reach the limit on a short message.

Makes perfect sense. Thank you Quanta.. seems as though these abbreviations are evolving faster than technology, hard to keep up.In other words--to use an analogy--instead of writing the essay themselves, they Googled the subject, downloaded whatever looked good, and then changed a few words around. That's not an analogy at all. We are talking about making comparisons, demonstrating the performance of a system.
You're analogy only entails that the footage would be stolen copyright and Nintendo claimed as theirs. Which is.. absolutely false. Please read the link and stop arguing.
I read the link. What they said was that they took footage from the other two systems and tried to pass it off as a demonstration of what their system is capable of; where this fails is that it doesn't demonstrate anything other than their hopes and dreams of what those games will look like on their system. An actual demonstration would have used real footage from the actual system, because that's what a demonstration actually is. In other words, at least part of the visuals they showed the Wii U of being capable of exist only in the realm of fantasy at this given time. Whether that will remain true going forward remains to be seen. That's not an analogy at all. We are talking about making comparisons, demonstrating the performance of a system.

Why is it their hopes and dreams? You think they have no idea what the system they designed themselves from scratch is capable of?I read the link. A demonstration can be the use of anything that shows what the system is capable of, it isn't locked down to where they get the demo from.I read the link. Also, if that is only their hopes and dreams, they wouldn't have used that footage. That'd be false advertising, and you'd have to be a dipshit if you think any major video game company thinks that is okay.
This is what the system can do. It's early footage too so it's optimal either. I think it will handle these games just fine.
