Blizzard II nerf for BLM too severe

I've been working on THM so I could get swiftcast for my WHM, but what I really don't understand is why SE gave the other DoM class Bliz2. Just seems like the whole fire/ice deal is really the THM/BLM shtick, you know? Thunder is an additional element but not as intrinsic to how the class is played. No other class gets CNJ aoe heals, no other class can use ACN pet actions, no other class can use GLA damage mitigation, etc. Just seemed weird to me.

I have seen one advantageous situation to use Freeze, though. Binding the feathers/plumes in the Garuda fights. (though not sure if that works in the new EM). Especially nice when combined with a Holy.

I agree totally w ya.I tought this too.as cool as having bliz2 in other dom might be,it feels kinda off having a skill like this that defines thm/blm

Sadly I believe the reason is PvP. They wanted every mage to have some sort of aoe bind to keep people off them. The same reason Scathe was probably nerfed, since it's all BLM can really cast most of the time in PvP.

I hope I'm wrong, but even if it's not the main reason, it's probably part of it.
