This is actually a great way to go about the CT loot lockouts. Would not mind at all if they went this route at some point or another.I feel like it would be better if the limits were extended to 1 Need and 1 Greed per week (or *maybe* 2 Greeds). That leaves you the ability to hold out for what you really want, and gives you 1 free "well, if no one else wants it" piece to get.
Especially when the loot level is inferior both to coil and myth gear.

Meh, CT lockout was dumb when it was announced. Still dumb now that it's launched. The small minority that would blitz claim everything in the shortest amount of time possible is still that, a minority. Those who would take their time, either by choice or RL, would still do that. Missing a week wouldn't be detrimental. People wouldn't be tempted to drop after getting something. People wouldn't let things rot because what they want might drop next. It's just dumb. Limit it to 1 Need a day at most, but leave Greed unrestricted. If someone REALLY wants a specific drop, then they can play the corresponding job and Need it to up their chances. Tomes aren't the carrot, they're the consolation prize. And for the hassle, people are better off running the other dungeons.
"I told you so!" may sound petty, but the glaring flaws have long since been vocalized and ignoring them just further cements how out of touch Yoshi willfully remains.

Who the Hell are you, to tell anyone what they are entitled to? Like I said, lighten up.You are getting tomes, gold, and having fun. THAT MAKES THE DUNGEON WORTH IT. Your not entitled to an item every run. Get over it. Your right it is a game, they aren't being hardasses by not handing items to you. If having an item handed to you is the only thing that will make a dungeon feel like the time spent was worth it for you then words simply fail me.
Its a god damn game. Nice fallacy by the way. "Hand out" items? No, handing stuff to me, would be giving me my gear without going into the dungeon.
Do you honestly believe the loot system is based on how much work you put in? Its random! You can get your whole set in as many runs as there are slots, if you're lucky, but someone could run it for months and get nothing.
So who is getting things handed to them? No one. You use that tired old cliche strawman, because you don't have a good argument. You just want to feel superior to other players by feigning some kind of superior gaming attitude. So you diminish their desires into the easiest form you can handle.
Get over yourself.

There's no perfect system.. even if it's free roll you can lose rolls left and right.
The token system by SWTOR is decent but requires a bit more work on adding NPCs to trade and stuff. Also you can set it so the leader allocates the loot.
Meh, I quite like it.
I had the same thing as OP on first chest where no one wanted it at all, but the rest after that all got taken. Including me getting the one I had hoped would drop on the final chest
As for not having an incentive to play now I've got my gear, well, I'm still going to. I'm going to do CT again for the same reason I play the game in the first place, it's fun. Although I know some people need to have a reward or don't want to play, so I understand your point, I guess.
But I just don't understand the hate for it myself. With Coil you get that one drop a week and that's it. At least with this you can run it all week until you get what you want.

Every CT I have been in every single piece got needed.

5 weeks later if you are 100% lucky you can get your head, body, hands, legs, feet. fanboys says its a good system then bash FFXI's system yet FFXI never locked you out for more then 3 days on anything.
FFXIV so far has 3 month housing timer, one week lock out on content, one week lock out on one dungeon currency.
if SE was smart they would of charged you 200 phil tomestones to enter CT would of made more sense and remove the one item one week.

I think it should be like 1 need per week and unlimited greeds because seeing armor drop to the floor really hurts me. I mean I play BRD as a main but I do some PLD and SCH on the side so I'd like to have a small chance to get something...

Letting loot rot is always silly.
