Ifrit will do more dps if you leave him on Sic, but that leaves his stun unchecked. Also you can still use Contagion before baning trash mobs for nearly every pull

Trash Mobs die quite fast before you end your DoT rotation or don t get the full extend of it to use contagion, altho I might go for it for the adds or phases of Turn 4 with Garuda but for trash mobs like everything else I rather Ifrit.
If you have a static with an average ilvl of 75-80+ sure. But any average PUG or DF group takes at least 40-50 seconds per pull in my experience. Especially when I'm the only geared dps in there. In T4 I usually double bane the spiders and hope the game was smart enough to not try and throw the DoTs on something that already had them, already have shadow flare up and before I would run in and Miasma 2, now I can run in and miasma2 and Blizz2 I guess
You got a point there most of the time we run with our LS and most of them are highly equipment or even if they aren t I still don t think contagion use or Garuda AoE over Ifrit sbut for PuGs somehow undergeared I get your point. I will take that Double Bane tip for Turn 4 I m aiming to do it this week but with all the new content :P turn 1-2 at least . Yes I always open with Shadowflare even on single mobs to be honest I didn t use Miasma 2 as much but since I have no thunder I will go for it
I used it only pre contagion and if I didn t have a risk to die
but I wouldn t consider to spam B2 I would like to know your thought about smn 2.1 on turn 4
