    as long as they're removing stamina with this I don't see a problem. if they aren't it may possibly ruin any tactics in fighting. since being efficient with stamina and what abilities/spells used per mob is just about it, id rather not be having to stay at 0 stamina to make sure I don't auto attack and waste the stamina on an unnecessary phantom dart, yes this is with me thinking mostly about mages. If they're removing stamina though, bring it on

    This still wont solve your boring combat issues, what will make your combat better is more difficult monsters, i am sure its not a lack of available skills, because we have a great number of skills available, with varying effects and uses, and yall still dont care about em.

    Anyhow AA is coming, i hope the other battle mechanics they put into place are engaging and useful, because ffxi, i played it recently and its really not entertaining combat, to me anyway.

    Sadly, i think i have done more dodore uraeus goblin and all that boring stuff more than you....

    and i know how lnc works...Im a fckng nerd when it comes to "how my class should be used to be on top"....

    with SS white dmg gives you more dps, use ws is useless since the animations are too slow and the little dmg bonus you get from a ws will be lost.

    make animations faster or better, change the ws's algoritm, the multiplier is a joke, let them crit and let them get DA(when the DA will be in game)....

    doomspike 1(r12 ws) does the same dmg as doomspike II (r32 ws) and chaos strike (r50 ws)..... and CS does only same dmg as DS when the mobs healt is under 20%....

    my friendìs victimize I&II does same dmg as my DS, when he gets the debuff's bonus.... i have 199 attack...he has 160....

    Im wondering if the old dev team calculated the battle system's algoritms during a spring break party....

    physic...not to be rude, but i think dev should listen to people who know the game, and not from people, who think to know, how the game works...

    on topic: AA is subjective, Ill for sure dont try to make you like it, but i think its a good way to try change things, hope SE will do a good job.

    well my regular attacks dont do the same as my WS, maybe yours do suck, but mines do not. animation time WAS irrelevant, because stamina was your damage limiter, not the speed of your animations, and for me the stamina cost of my WS is the same for most, and less for some, but the damage is more.
    I understand someone saying they save stamina for BR weaponskills, but for me there is no way my basic attacks do more damage than my WS follow through goes for 390 damage when compared to 200 from two basic attacks, dlevel effects damage as multiplied effect, so even if im reduced to doing 20 damage, that same stamina will get me 39 damage. thats up to twice the dps as without. victimize is honestly only worth it when you buff it up drastically and throw like bood weapon on it, essentially it is a BR skill, when you can put insane buffs on one skill, use victimize, otherise you ll get more damage from 1000 tp skills, or even 500 tp skills if you have them. I actually go out and fight hard things, and super leveled monsters, just to test things out. I dont claim to know the specific NM, but i wouldnt base my whole understanding of an entire game, and game mechanics on 3 monsters. Nor would i assume to build an entire system around them.

    if the game lasts there will be new NMs with different tricks, different weakness, and if they do what they say, and what they should do for battle, you will be fighting in dunegeons, and versus NM parties. You will have to fight low, midlevel, and high difficulty teams of monsters with varied skill sets.

    while you call some skills useless, i say its better to have WS with a variety of uses instead of one definitive WS. I find use for most WS i have.

    AA is coming no matter what, we know that, they still need to make battle interesting, if people thought it was boring without AA, AA is going to do nothing for that. I can only hope it will not make battle even less entertaining than it was, we shall see.
    the cornerstone of the new battle better not be AA thats for certain.

    I like how the nerds are raging so hard about efficient use of the skills rather than just say, Hay they need to tweak dmg/cost/timers... ya know just tweak stuff instead of break it.

    I'm against auto attack but we'll see how they implement it. If they make it different than XI, great. If it's the same... well.. that's another story. I don't just mash the same buttons... I'm not sure how some people play. To each their own. I like the current system, I have no problems timing my attacks and using them when needed. I do alot of tanking on my Pugilist and do pretty well keeping the mob focused on me. But again, we'll see how they implement it. Wish they could make it optional... but I don't know if that would work for a MMO. Looking forward to the new changes!
