    you got to learn to separate battle mechanics with what they are used for. I do agree that auto attack or not auto attack will not save battle, but i think difficulty and challenge are the reason everyone is just mashing buttons, or in the future, mashing buttons for skills.

    It doesnt matter if your playing chess, if your opponent is totally garbage. It doesnt matter what battle system they create, if they continue to send teams of 8 people over monsters that are only challenging solo, or duo.

    The combat needs to be more active than it is currently. The current system tries to simulate action combat without going too twitchy but fails at that. They should just go much more active with it, which I won't go into detail here about.

    Meh. The AA video made combat seem really slow and tedious. I hope it's more dynamic once I finally have a chance to use it.

    Very true. I felt it much slower than what was promissed...it even looked slower than FFXI. :/ Also seeing the "adjustment" word coming along with "guild mark actions" gave me the feeling that, or these attacks will become good enough, or they will become really crappy (if Stanmina become delay is a good example...actiona like heavy swing, full swing, heavy slash and pummel will need some major enhancing or their delay due stanmina will kill them)

    Wow, you need to go look at more solo FFXI fighting videos. XIV's new battle system is much faster, they were using abilities like every two seconds, unlike XI.

    It's nowhere near as fast as XI at 75+. Not that I mind.

    Got to wean the XI junkies off their haste. They can always tinker with the delays. Monk did seem a little fast, it was hitting for more than the lancer combined, faster. But then the lancer did the multihit pwn so yeah.
