Say No to auto-attack!

People, auto attack is a horrible idea that will lose FFXIV players! Please lest convince the devs to stop this madness!

With auto attack i can sit around and do f all while i fight. How can that be considered fun gaming?

Well, this all depends of the way auto-attack is added. Since we don't have real info regarding it i prefer to wait until we know more about it.

So you like mashing 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 or button,button,button,button,button,button,button,button,button,button, every single fight while madly trying to time in your skill so you dont get yet another random normal attack?

Ya of course i do, keeps me doing something not just watching the fight, I can time my abilities just fine, seems like your just not a very good fighter, Ira keep healing people.

I don't have an issue timing my abilities and to be honest I could care less either way, if they add auto-attack or not, but...pressing a single button, not a different button, but the same one over and over again...there's no skill in that, its just lame honestly. When I'm grinding out in raptor pts for about 5 hrs at a time, I don't want to mash a single button 2664646246346976+21 times, but again, don't bother me either way.

If you like mashing repetitively just for something to do, I don't see why you care about auto attack either way. You don't have to pay attention to do either.

Also, taking a jab at a person's ability to play well based on them making a blanket example to contrast a system we haven't even seen yet- seems petty & rude.

I'm sure there would be timing in either system. Regardless, railing against auto-attack only so you have something to do besides, "watch the fight" seems silly. I can't see your argument any other way than you asking to keep pressing play to watch a movie; otherwise it'll stop every 3 seconds.
