Their response is probably going to be something along the lines of "We're looking into it. Please look forward to 2.1". Prices aren't changing or being declared set in stone until 2.1 hits, has had some time to sink in, and the devs have some actual numbers on housing purchases.
The amount of responses is great because that it makes sure that this will be looked into, but I think something that we tend to forget is that they made these prices from some data that we don't have access. Now, the data seems skewed, especially the data on legacy servers, but they had some reasons that they thought these prices were valid and viable. They're not going to change that overnight. They've always been slow and cautious when it comes to changes that affect the economy. There are countless suggestions (drop a 0, reduce the prices by half) floating around, but they are going to have to gather data and crunch numbers, before they settle on keeping the prices as is or reducing them.
A price change may come (hopefully), but I wouldn't expect it anytime before the first month or so. My guess is that some type of price alleviation will come in 2.15 or we will get a long dev post explaining their methodology behind the prices.
