It's an indirect buff to DPS, since you won't have to spam Rain of Death.

Group still get the affect if they bring a WAR tank.

Sorry but who cares about a little more of DPS when they remove one of our best skill?

You can get a free RoD from using Wide Volley - 15% chance. So on occasion when you are spamming mobs you will get the buff for free.

Well of course you'd use it if it procs, who wouldn't! You wouldn't be spamming Wide Volley on Titan or Twintania though just for a shot at a free RoD you just do it outright.

I can't believe the amount of under-performing bards who are claiming in this thread RoD was only useful against Twintania's 2hr.

Using RoD saves MP, helps mitigation last longer, lowers the amount of healing and thus hate on healers, makes speed runs easier ... Damage reduction has a higher impact in the battle than just surviving Twintania's AOE.

You can also easily keep RoD by yourself before each fireball.
And before (or after, if you aren't keeping count of plummet) each death sentence. You can also make a RoD rotation with your fellow bard and keep it up 24/7 without it affecting your TP.

Saying -10% damage reduction isn't incredibly useful is silly. And if you aren't using it you aren't performing at your best.



Bard is (well, WAS) a job heavily based on utility skills. Now it strikes me just as a half assed hybrid. Oh and for those bards who didn't use RoD, just a heads up: Foe requiem is incredibly good. Keep it up when you aren't saving your MP for ballad. It wouldn't surprise me if you weren't.

Er who give a $@% to hawkeye when a properly geared bard is nearly 100% acc in coil in the first place.... only under geared bard have issue with accuracy. I DO find holy nerf a bit troublesome but cnj nerf is NOT where near bard when they completely changed a skill utility.

medica 2 has half regen....................wow now i understand why my FC seems to hard bards most of us whine when we are already kinda OP XD
