The only real place where bard was op was in Titan run... and blame SE for that; for mading it melee unfriendly. I heard medica change too, it cab get bad in wp sr or titan stomp.

Let's refocus? This thread, I believe, wasn't intended to compare which job has it worse in the incoming patch, but to discuss the specific changes to BRD. more precisely: RoD.
Though I can't really see what more there is to say.
When predicting the impact of one specific change on the global fighting system, people need to remember that this is not the only change (as so many people have reminded us with the transfert from BRD to WAR for the DMG reduction debuff).
Will it overall be used the same way, will the fights be the same? Certainly not.
Will it be better, worse or just different? Each seem to have their own ideas.
The acc buff might be useless, except if they introduce game mechanics that make it usefull (debuffs, "dodgey" mobs, or whatever else they may come up with in the future). As it is right now, I tend to agree with the general assesment predicting the uselessnes of RoD.
If the global changes are all balanced in the end, it won't change the fact that this specific change (RoD) will take away one of the few support tools the BRD had (one song and a silence, that's it. Pretty light for a support class imho), without giving anything in exchange to make it more like the support role they want BRD to be.
I'm all for support, but it requires support abilities. Songs are usefull, but in terms of gameplay, that's pretty limited, and only moderately interesting. If only for this reason, I'll miss RoD

For most part i agree with what you said. War MIGHT be able to take over the role in some area but only when it is single target. But if it is during like 2 snake in turn 1, leech bug in turn 4 and wp sr it is all about useless. Couple with Virus nerf and Whm healing nerf things can get out of hand very quickly
This change sucks. BRDs are supposed to be support roles and they are taking away one of our support skills and replacing it with a useless debuff instead.
Only thing is now my girlfriend and I don't need to rotate RoD and Blunt Arrow in turn 2.... But that's not a good thing.
It seems they really want you to take a war. Since they moved the -10% damage debuff to war.
I'm not sure you are actually parsing things if that's what you think the hierarchy is and I'm not talking about training dummy damage. Blm is by far and large the highest single target DD. Archer is second place simply because it never has to stop for any reason, then SMN if they actually know how to play (I've seen very few smns who know how to, however), then drg only because it's easier to sustain maximum dps than monk on bosses because of how often monk loses Greased Lightning.on par with blm? lol. u have no idea. let me break it down for u. currently with similarly geared bard and blms, blms will out damage bards by about 30-50k. The damage hierarchy goes like this SMN>BLM=MNK>BRD>DRG. its not much of a nerf but bards didnt need this nerf to begin with.
Sure, under optimal conditions your hierarchy might be correct, but nothing worth doing has optimal conditions.
Hell no, we can't dps with dead tank.As a MNK i see this change most welcome, as i have to keep some piece with Acc+ to be capped and lose some dps~. It's still a small boost, but... if it's affect for more than one member, it can become a powerfull buff. Now Bardes will have to use it everytime it's fade off.
To bad it's change to enemy attack but sometime, attack is the best defense.
Agree, tank die and you are drown dirt
Before we discuss the nerf, lets look at the problem. Prior to 2.1 melee DPS were having harder times finding BC groups. Groups wanted to take in 2 bards = less spots for other dps.
The solution should then be, make it desirable to have a brd, but less optimal to stack 2. Partly addressed with buffing melee dps. They also moved the dmg debuff from bard to war, cause we know no one wanted to take a war into endgame. This now makes pld/war desirable as a 2 tank setup.
So the question is, do these changes to bard make bard undesirable for endgame? Cause at the end of the day, that's what matters.
I would argue that Mage's ballad, silence and foe requiem, were really the main reasons people were taking bard into BC in the first place. When you say, that's all a bard has, I would argue that that's still pretty awesome, and will continue to be sought after.
tbh, everyone agree that brd was a bit OP before with top tier dps + high mobility. Now they tuned down the dps, I think which is totally fine.
