But seriously, 90 percent (random percentage) of my df parties always want me to go as fast as possible as a tank.

Bottom line is you can't change what players do. If you want to watch the CS go for it and if they want to just keep fighting without you that's fine as well. If you really want to do it under your conditions, then make your own group no matter which side you're on. Majority always wins out.
