Thank you very much. For some odd reason, I assumed they would be in the main scenario quest for Preatorium. That's more an issue with the logbook being poorly organized.
i play a scholar as a main, if i by chance end up in a prae or cm dungeon and notice that we have new folks i will watch the cutscenes with them. people are less likely to engage bosses early and get newbies locked out when their healer is one of the ones watching the scenes =p

Or how about folks grow a pair and tell people to "gfy" when they say to watch the cutscenes in the inn after the run?
If you want to watch the cutscenes, and you let someone else tell you that you can't because they are concerned about the extra 2.5 minutes your cutscenes will cost them, it's your own fault. Even worse that it's an internet group that, at worst, can spam your party chat with their rage/tears at you actually playing the game the way it was intended. If that really bothers you, you can click the tabs below the chat window and hide their tantrum entirely.
The people demanding folks skip cutscenes for their "speed runs" are children, and need to be treated as such. They don't yet understand the concepts of sharing or that the world doesn't revolve around them, and if someone doesn't start teaching them, then it is a guarantee they never will learn. Would you give in to a child's demand for candy if they put their foot down and loudly screamed they want it? No, of course not. So I don't suggested treating these children any differently.
tl;dr- Watch your damn cutscenes.

I'll just add to this that if anyone gives you too much grief about it, report them for harassment. I can guarantee you, SE's employees will take this sort of toxic behavior as kindly as the rest of us on forums.Or how about folks grow a pair and tell people to "gfy" when they say to watch the cutscenes in the inn after the run?

My FC has agreed to take all our slower-leveling members through story dungeons for their first time, so they can experience it correctly.
I agree with OP in the sense that, if someone wants a speedrun, they should build a group for that purpose. If they choose to use DF for convenience, they need to recognize that a wide range of players will be found.
The community would benefit by being helpful/patient/friendly with new people.
They can watch them but everyone else is free to skip them and continue on, blame SE if the cutscenes begin to overlap

True, in the same way that one is free to be an inconsiderate, selfish, self centered jerk. Yeah you're totally free to do that. By the way, did you watch the cutscenes your first time through? 99% chance you did. News flash, 'Center of the Universe', nearly every speed runner was a story watcher their first time. You're just too up your own ass, to give a shit.
Your time isn't more valuable than anyone elses. The story is there to be watched. You can watch the entire game practically on Youtube, who cares? Many want to experience as it is meant to be experienced. In the moment.
Stop acting like an entitled child, just because you may have to wait a few more minutes on your umpteenth run this week, just to get gear that will probably do you little good until the next content releases.

So you're saying that we should wait for them to stop viewing the cutscene? Yeah, no.True, in the same way that one is free to be an inconsiderate, selfish, self centered jerk. Watch your cutscenes if you want, but if you want a completely legit real experience, go make a group for it. I didn't complain the first time when I was watching the cutscenes and people were rushing, neither should you.

Bottom line, if you want to skip parts of something, its on YOU to find like minded people. Everyone else is just doing the dungeon like the developers wanted.. You didn't mind, but would you have minded if they pressured you into stopping? You don't mind losing out on fun of experiencing the dungeon? Good for you.So you're saying that we should wait for them to stop viewing the cutscene? Yeah, no.

You want to speed run? Do it on your OWN time.
But this point went over your head several times so I don't know why I'm trying to convince you now. You're using a child's logic, to justify being inconsiderate.
If I used your mentality, I can just say that if you're at end game, and don't have a regular farming group, you're doing it wrong.
I've yet to play a game where hardorce raiders/farming was done through the party finder system. If you're really serious enough to where you need to shave off seconds to minutes from dungeon running, either free up your schedule, get some friends, or join an FC.
