very much this. If you're SO bad that you can't take it out legit than..I guess have fun? It's an easy fight to start with and this method is longer than the norm.
You just figured this out? Anyway I prefer to actually have to think a lil. even if it is a joke cakewalk, and have some fun instead of wasting time waiting for the clicks to run out to do well just something that is not as "fun" as doing it with the mechanic. Still though just feels as if wasting time waiting for clicks to expire.
Tried it today with my group, with 2 well geared healers it's very hard to do. Both of us went oom at like 10-20% hp. With a 3rd healer it should be cake, but we honestly found it more convenient and fun to do it the right way, waiting around for 7-8 min for clicks to reach 1 also sucked.
We also had 1 of our dps derp and die right as we pulled, so.. err, the might factor in lol. I think it's doable with 2 healers too. Just didn't bother trying anymore due to the long wait.

More experienced groups may lean more forward ti taking it out the 'standard' way, though this one may be more forgiving to newer groups that find themselves wiping a few times. Of course, haven't sufficient-level gear's also a key factor.

This strat allowed us to include PS3 players, players with no voice chat, and players that are coil beginners into our group(s), its not as easy as it sounds, you can run out of MP and get killed if your healers/DPS aren't good enough.
I'm 100% OK with that.

So it doesn't go super nova?! This makes me sad
I play PS3 with no Vc, and I get to turn 5 every week with my static. We kill ADS the normal way to. Pass that rot

If you have beaten turn 2 with the "normal" mechanics then id use this new way of beating it every time. I've dealt with rot AND tank swapping, its not a tough fight, just takes coordination. This new way of doing things make it so if I do PUG the turn, its actually possible with less competent players.

You do realize that Yoshi has stated and continues to state every time they do video's like that, where they demonstrate a fight. That the warrior just runs around the room taking damage for 2 reasons. 2 show the kind of damage that the fight puts out and to show you a view from all around the fight, which is tough to do when you are required to stand still or avoid mechanics. He specifically mentions it several times in the live letters during the video's. This is not their test team being retards....
