Have a look at the list and see what you can do for the least cost. Personally, I did Smelling Salts to 45, then Potent Sleeping Potions to 50, but the prices of blue landtrap leaves may prove prohibitive on your server.
Make sure to double-check with other sites if CAAS doesn't list a full set of five levequests in a given tier. Raising CUL to 50 recently, I almost got stuck with that horrid Toast recipe and even worse (for me because I gather my own materials) Apple Juice turn-ins because I was low on allowances and working with triple turn-ins. Pastry Fish and Tomato Pies were a much better alternative from 40 to 50, which aren't listed by CAAS.

the classic brass ring example for instance is an all npc lvl-20triple, which one trip to LL will set you for the next 5-10 levels. The shard cost of a lvl 20 of that lvl 20 triple is 2 shard I believe, which 9x is still cheaper then a lvl 35-40 recipe.

People just don't realize that shard cost alone can be a major factor, that triple leve solves very nicely, because a lower recipe has often so much lower shard cost, that trumps the later leves.
Generally, triple turn-ins at the same tier use items one tier lower, which lowers the shard cost by 1 per final item (and occasionally 1 per synth required to make each material for the final item). However, when you're making 54 items for the six triple turn-ins needed to advance a tier (based on crafting all materials yourself, which can give you two levels all on its own), you can still end up using up a LOT more crystals than the 18-20 or so single courier turn-ins needed. Even using two-three tiers lower leves might not make up the difference in shards saved by just needing less synths and fewer turn-ins (from higher XP) overall.

That's a fine line to draw as long as you don't actually look at the recipe list.

A lower level leve usually does not use process mats(npc buyable or no craft association) or lower mats of the process of a higher mat.

Rarely does a higher recipe get any easier. for example if you do a iron ingot to iron rivet(and iron rivlets is npc able btw), you're doing 1x1 of 2 shard process. A steel is 2x2 so 4 shard process, a etc etc is again double and again double. Then the final process is again doubled in "double shard" aka 1water 1 earth becomes 2 water 2 earth.

Once you look at the recipe list, and the "tricks" of npc products. Discounting the HQ problility, it heavily favors triple leves. This is even more true when it comes to equipment.

Upgrading a craftmen's equipment every 5-7 levels is much more expensive then leveling it every 10-15 levels (or none at all). It's perfectly fine for an alchemist to use lvl25-30 gear until 50 since hi-potions by far are so profitable and xp rewarding.

Finally, you have 3 types of levels town(lowest) courier (mid) and triple (high). If you look at town, it's is really really crappy, no matter how you go through it.

This is a lesson learned not from "armchairing" crafting, but of actual people leveling their craft, and looking at their pocketbooks. The reality is SE forumlas are not balanced enough to move away from triple leve-ing.
