Actually I think that when you see a lot of repeats, it will help you identify those questions that are really important to most of us.Hey gang, great suggestions thus far! We have one favor we'd like to ask and that's if you could you try and see if your question has been asked already. We're starting to see a lot of repeats! It'd really help us out and it would make sure we get all the original questions in.
Thank you <3
As a miner I hate getting unnecessary items like zinc ore in grade 5 areas or getting iron materials when i want to focus on high quality ores like silver/gold/mythril. I was thinking that they're should be pickaxes that "favor" a certain material like iron, bone, gems, silver, gold and mythril. I'm not saying it'll be 90% boost but instead of getting constant fodder or stuff you dont need at all you at least have a better chance at getting what you want.
I get the point of having gathering fatigue to prevent rmt actions but its unfair to players that enjoy gathering classes, it's so bad for me I haven't gotten miner surplus in 1 1/2 months. I actually would prefer to mine all day and supply my LS with mats than craft all day. It's not like there is something in place to prevent someone from farming mob skins all day and making way more money from that. You block one window and leave another window wide open.
One more suggestion would be to make lay of the land similar to prospect, I only need prospect V to run through all areas but I need all lay of the land to sense every grade separately taking up space on my action bar.
As 44 miner, my initial complaints at this moment are the ridiculously low sp at each successful hit, the gathering fatigue and the completely random items you get at grade 5 that you would get at 1-4.
quotequotequoteCurrently the economic forces in Eorzea allow crafters to obtain cheap high quality materials, synth high quality products, then mark the price for their services up by 1000% while the hard-working gatherer who made that possible is barely making ends meet. Battlecrafters own 80% of the value of the steel industry, while gatherers' iron ore is almost worthless. Are there any plans to give professional gatherers more economic weight and power?
Sorry if these are repeats
In "Yalms", What are the dimensions of one square on a map?How much distance is between you and a gathering point when "Quicken" doesn't activate while using skills such as Prospect I-IV?Are there factors such as Moon Phases, Time of Day, and Weather Conditions that affect the Drops Rates and Quality of items obtained through gathering?Ill post more later...While gathering "hides" for leather working, is it safe to assume that every item that a mob drops can also be dropped as a +1/+2/+3?
Player
Not sure if this has been asked or not.
Could you make a system when Gatherer party together with DoW/DoM or even DoH?
Gather item from living monster, while other defend him = cool
Crafting bomb/trap/cannon while other fighting = cool.
let player gather item and craft it instantly for event = cool.

Here is a few questions from myself.
Despite Gathering only receiving 5.8% of the total vote in "Players Poll the First" about how people spend their time in Eorzea, do you still intend to support it as throroughly as Combat and Crafting as an activity for those of us who do spend most of our time in it, and see it as one of the main reasons to play. This includes addition of more things to do, our own unique gear earned by playing our class of choiceI know that is a repeat, but even if you do find someone else with an interest, you can't group up as it just harms you both in terms of collection and Skill Points. Is there plans for more group oriented gathering gameplay.
Do you see any content in the future that requires Gatherers working alongside with Fighters. An example would be that the fighters stem back a tide of enemies while Gatherers grab the materials until the fighters decide they can't hold out any longer and everyone falls back. Both of these are sort of dream questions - I'd love to have to hire somebody to help out if I chose to take the risk and go for the 'pot of gold' (that also rewarded the combat classes for protecting you), or high quality trees in my case - less Faerie Apples, more lumber *grins* The idea of partaking in scenarios where a region is being overrun, or something like that, where the reward lies on both sides doing their jobs well also really appeals to me.Would it be possible to add gathering spots in dangerous zones for gatherers, but allow them to 'hire' other players in a way that rewards the Fighter for aiding the gatherer, and gives the gatherer the access to rare or higher quality goods. While good in theory, without a decent Skill Point incentive, players generally are not interested in helping you.
*Edit* I have to say, no way do I want Gathering classes becoming a 'side-profession' like some folk have suggested, I love *choosing* to do so, and having my gear and reputation be built by what I do, rather than all gathering being fair game for anyone who just wanders past.
Thanks guys.. I guess I coulda been a bit less lazy and did my own tests ;p.. But about the +3 drop question.. I farmed hundreds of zombie type mobs for an HQ Iron Plate.. and im talking.. nearing a thousand kills if not more.. I received a good amount of +3 iron chains and NQ Iron plates.. but not 1 Iron Plate +3.. I also incapped every possible way you could on a humanoid mob.. any ideas?
kinda the same question/suggestion as others but wanted to add it there. Are their any plans to either A) Add an additonal NPC to the leve counter to offer gathering only leves, or B) expand on the number of camps offering leves and/or expanding the number of leves per camp from 2 to 3-4?
