It's not begging...if you work for a game company you should know better than that, the Devs are always looking for feedback from their player base, whether its a good idea or not it's always good to give them feedback on your playing experience, what you like or don't like about the game...what you find too easy or not challenging enough etc etc. =P
Because this isn't feed back. Everyone knows that old content will be nerfed. This is just a handful of people that don't want to gear up for content asking for a special version of the dungeon to be made for them instead of just waiting. Yoshi said they are going to push out content every 3 months. Right now we're playing catch up with the whole CT thing I'm assuming since it wasn't out on release. So 3 months from the 17th of this month, I'm positive there will be even more content and coil will be nerfed. It's not begging...if you work for a game company you should know better than that, the Devs are always looking for feedback from their player base, whether its a good idea or not it's always good to give them feedback on your playing experience, what you like or don't like about the game...what you find too easy or not challenging enough etc etc. =P

Agreed, making content easier is not the way to go and I am a casual player. I know I will not get to Coil right away but that is the nature of things. I will eventually. Square unfortunately continues to do what most MMO developers are finally learning from and moving away from and that is making more super easy bubblegum games. The MMO generation is getting older and are demanding more complex games. So a couple people complained about 11, it wasn't because it was hard, it was because the party, LS, and Customer Service was horrible. Can we get a little more complexity in 14 please than you might find in a Nickelodeon sitcom?

The only thing that actually made me mad is editing my quote. If you aren't snipping, don't do that.
We're saying that we should have multiple difficulties. Like how it's on most modern MMORPGs. You want FFXIV to stay behind?
To be honest I doubt you even care, you're just trolling.
I think it's wrong because, to be honest, I hate being left behind. Beating it after the nerf/buff won't be any more accomplishing than beating it on "Easy".Every single piece of content / dungeon they add to this game has some lore behind it. This isn't WoW (hate to have to use wow as an example since everyone does) where 90% of the time you aren't even sure why you're doing a raid / quest. Most if not all dungeons have at least have some lore associated with it. With that being said, why is it wrong they want to make it difficult to start with and easy mode later on? They want people to feel achievement by seeing and reading what happens next in the story.. if it were easy, would you still feel that achievement? /shrug I guess it's just a difference of opinion between us.
Either way, I'm all for how they're instituting it (hard at first, ezmode buffs later).
The difference is, I'll probably struggle to find any groups. Hate to use WoW as an example, but that's exactly what happened with me on Cataclysm. I never got to see how Sinestra (that being only on the "Heroic" difficulty) and Nefarian ended, even in the last tier gear (T13 from the Dragon Soul) from normal mode. As over powered as our characters became, there was still the raid wiping mechanics to deal with, it was such a hassle that no one did it.
If there's no rewards worth getting, most won't do outdated content. Unless we're forced to run earlier set of turns to get to the next, even then we have to see if any group is willing to take anyone when they could be "speed running" it to get to current turns ASAP.
This is considering I won't be able to beat it even in CT gear (which I honestly think will be the case).

Doesn't matter what other mmos are doing, ffxiv isn't doing that. So go to those games instead? This game doesn't HAVE to do that. Why? because the entire game is easy mode. The entire game has been made easy for people that's never played a mmorpg before. Other mmos, the game is way harder than this.
People crack me up, first this game is a clone, now its doing something that other games aren't doing and people want them to do it too.

What cracks me up is your attempt to troll FFXIV through your continual insistence that the game is easy mode. Yeah it's your opinion but that is an opinion that is completely irrelevant to the discussion at hand.Doesn't matter what other mmos are doing, ffxiv isn't doing that. So go to those games instead? I must agree here. Basically the last two statements in a nutshell. Yoshi mentioned that people complained 11 was too difficult. Imo, 11 has technicality, which some (mostly newcomers of mmorpg's) found too much to deal with. Whereas here, it lacks most all of 11's technical aspects, or any technical aspect for that matter, which inturn makes it easier. SE wanted a game you could simply dive into, especially to make it easy for those newcomers. They aimed for a balance, which kind of went too far on the easy spectrum. So it missed the intended mark and thus both casual and hardcore players are left feeling slighted and unchallenged.Doesn't matter what other mmos are doing, ffxiv isn't doing that. Afterall, repetitions and patterns aren't challenging. There's a huge difference in what a mob is capable of doing and whether or not it actually does it. If it does 'x' 'y' 'z', it is critical as to when. Timing can make or break a battle... or should, IF it weren't repetitious.
When there's no randomness, it can get stale quickly.
"Aliens will never attack Earth. There isn't enough brain activity."
"SE set the bar with FF11, like it or not. They could do it again if they would use the common sense God gave them."
