I'm agreeing with the OP here. I am not that good at fast paced combat. It takes me a very, very long time to recognize and respond to patterns. I've never been able to beat the first mini-boss in Metroid Prime (yeah, the one on the N64) and that still makes me a little upset. I'm just not that great with video games. But, I do love them. I love RPG's, and older games that aren't as fast paced, reaction and timing based.

In most cases in ffxiv, I get through things fine. I enjoy crafting, and at least up to Stone Vigil, which I played last night, I've been a pretty good tank. I do not want things handed to me, and obviously don't want instant gratification (see above, where I've been playing since launch, but just now got to Stone Vigil). I'm perfectly fine knowing that it'll take me longer to get any darklight pieces, and that I'll probably not get into Coil until they do nerf it. I'm here for the story, and the world, and to have shared housing with my husband. However, it would be really nice if I could play through an easier form of the dungeon, even with zero rewards, just so I can get those missing pieces of the story for me and my character. So, I guess, yeah, I do want things handed to me, but those things are just the storyline parts. Rewards in the form of gear can go to everyone else and I'm fine with that.
