WOW understand that 90% of players base never get to the see raid content they make due to difficulty level to high why they make multiple difficulty level so that everyone get to enjoy the content at same time not waiting some kind of nerfed. WOW dev make right decision cuz not everyone born with same talents and skill at same time they pay same sub so no reason why they can't enjoy like everyone. your game will fail if you design difficulty base on top 10% players base and dismiss the rest of players base.
If WoW understood that then they wouldnt of made Easy faceroll raid modes drop loot, if everyone claims they want to see the story then have easy mode not drop anything.

No, you are not telling the whole truth.
You needed to finish it to finish the Argon War content expansion of the game, the main story ended with Keshiak's Nest. Also you needed to finish the hard mode for the longest time, not the normal mode and if it's normal mode now that was a change made in an update well after the content was released.
So if you want this to be like Tera, Coil 1-5 will be nerfed 6-12 months after the content came out so everyone can appreciate the story either directly, through gear or through the release of an easy mode. SE has stated that old content will get nerfed, so there is no suggestion to make here you just have to wait.

Question: Why do you feel that those of us that pay for the game, but aren't skilled enough to beat Coil not deserve a way to see the story?
Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.

Lmao wut? This game is slow and easy enough as it is.
So if I pay for something that I know I'm not good at, I can demand that it become easier? Gesh this generation.

I'm 37 years old, so not exactly part of the entitled generation. I started at 1.0, where the game did not require fast-paced combat. Also, 1.23 did not require combat as fast paced as what we have now. If ffxiv 1.0 had combat as fast as 2.0, I would not have played it. I would love to play the upcoming Elder Scrolls, but from what I've heard from people who demo'd it at PAX, it requires skills I don't have, so I won't be playing it.
What I'd like to see, is the storyline regarding Bahamut and Louisoix, started in 1.23, when I could play the game with no problems. Why it's important that I NOT get to see this until 6+ months from now, I don't understand. I don't want gear rewards, I don't want bragging rights, I'd just like to see the rest of the story. How does that take anything away from anyone else?

Because that's how games work. You start off easy with level 1 one stuff then you improve and keep progressing. It's suppose to gradually get harder not just stay easy across the board. Whatever happened to learning how to improve and play and get better? When I first started playing mmos, omg I was awful. But instead of asking for everything to be nerfed to make it easy for my nubery, I learned and got better.
Not to mention that this game is just beyond easy mode even compared to WoW lol.

Coil having a story does not mean it's part of the story, it would be weird for there to be end game content without any story-based justification but the story ended when the credits rolled.
Besides the op has already said there is a way, and I agree with it. It will be nerfed eventually through various ways so you can see it then.

If it will eventually be nerfed, where is the harm in having an easy mode for us to view the story bits now?
And regarding it not being part of 'the' story, I disagree. For those of us from 1.0 it IS the story, this stuff about the primals is not what I'm particularly interested in. I want to know what happened to Bahamut and Louisoix.
And Youtube is not the same. It might give me the story, but it won't be as satisfying. It'd be like eating a fat free brownie ^^ not the same thing at all.![]()

An easy mode with no allagan gear also doesn't sound bad. However I would feel comfortable betting that a lot of people would not like that and they in fact want to get the rewards as well.
Though I'd have to ask if they made coil trivial to the point where everyone can just run it to see the story what exactly is satisfying about it, what is the actual difference between that and just watching a video?
