Considering that the dev team has been a failure for the last year or two, the company has lost numerous amounts of resources right in the middle of XIV development and the fact that they are rebuilding most of the core features from the ground up gives me enough rationality to see why they would be put in late.

FFXIV will be part of the 90% FF titles with chocobos. The XIV Dev team will not bend its prioritization on your incessant QQing over x and y. They will develop and release on the time schedule they have planned and they will get the game in am enjoyable state sooner rather than later.
I'd rather they had released the game in an enjoyable state in the first place.

That aside, like I said before they haven't really changed much of anything since release except a few quests and NMs. I have not seen a SINGLE SYSTEM in the last 9 months that was rebuilt from anything up, much less the ground, except perhaps the targeting system (which they somehow made even worse).

I get that they need to have priorities, what I don't like or agree with is the rationalization that every single thing they change should justifiably take 9 months+.
