The more players that leaves, thats another nail in its coffin. Instead of tell players to leave you as well as the Dev team needs to add content for everyone not just be 1 sided. I remind you Yoshi said he wanted a broad audience, well if you lose too many of a certain play type how long do you think this game will last? NO game should let anyone be able to get anything and everything with out working for it. Everything shouldnt be easy mode if you want something than you need to work for it not have it handed to you, like this game currently dose.

I wouldn't say it was higher.

The funny thing is, as most mmo vets who've played a few can tell you: Fans always say snarky things like "Bye bye", "Can I have your stuff?", and "There's the door" instead of acknowledging the game's issues until eventually all that's left is too few to support a content cycle that the fans want, and then they also leave.

All the recent mmo failures have followed this. I'm not saying 14 will fail, I'm saying the indifferent attitude toward a game's problems do more damage than good. As much as a game needs its die-hard fans to keep the pace, it needs the casuals looking for fun more than accomplishment.

It's like the WHM tanking titan (Kudos!) or the bikini titan people, or the 1 PLD/7 WHM Ifrit. That's all great, well, and good, but isn't it a shame that that's the best thing you can do with your gear? Go mutilate old content?

How fast I can crank WP for tomes I don't need is only interesting and defensible for so long.

Agreed. It is not productive for this game at all to just be rude and tell people "Bye, door is over there" etc. The dev's should start listening to what this community (or what is left of it lol) wants, so far I am seeing tons of threads asking for more end game content, more non instanced end game content and stuff to do with large groups (besides CT, since its goin backwards)


I dunno though...it seems like since beta Yoshida has had a set vision for this game and does not really consider what the community is asking for :/

There is not some hidden thing you didn't realize was in the game that one of us is going to tell you about. If you can't think of a reason to pay, we aren't going to be able to find that reason for you.

That said I felt the same way. I was getting increasingly bored everyday, so I just stopped playing for about a month. I paid for 6 months up front so I knew I'd be okay to just come back if I felt like it. Now I'm back and having fun again, it really helped out a lot.

If you really are so bored that you can not stand to play, I'd suggest trying the same. My only regret from stopping is that I lost out on 1200~ myth lol. Other than that it did wonders for my enjoyment of the game.

The game is not going anywhere. It's allright to take a break. Once you come back, not only will feel the game with fresh air again, but there will be much more content to go through. Unsubscribing isn't necessarily the end of your XIV experience.

Ran into some ffxiv arr players in the last eso beta and we were talking about this game and it was funny really, we were all from different servers and we all agreed the game is boring. There is just so many times you can run wp and ak. Just not fun anymore.

OMERGHHHH first update and we don't get everything our little hearts desire. Boo-who. Let's cry and threaten to unsubscribe every time something doesn't go our way. If you don't like it then leave until more content becomes available. It is a brand new game still and still in the working phases.

you dont even understand what the OP is getting at .. for some reason you think he and other hardcore players are saying PATCH NEEDS TO BE 100 PERCENT PROGRESSIVE !! .... not at all hes saying theres should be something progressive not all

the whole 2.1 2.3 2.5 casual 2.2 2.4 2.6 hardcore format is completely retarded and SE needs to hire new people if they think its a good idea ... each patch should contain ALL ELEMENTS .... why add 3 extremes ... 1 new primal .. 1 new raid zone 2 new hard dungeons at ALL LOWER TIER .... makes no sense .... MAKE SOMETHING PROGRESSIVE

simply put patches should = some new content for everyone casuals / raiders / crafters / gatherers PERIOD!

When you talk do you hear the words you are saying, or do you put your fingers in your ears and shout? There is no difference in what SE is doing and what you want.
What you want is "everyone get's crumbs at the same time"
What SE are doing "every time one side gets a quarter of the cake"
In the end both will get the same amount of cake.

Needles to say the current scheduled is temporary at best, sooner or later SE will have to decide on an identity... the current middle road will end quick!

Sometimes, I wonder if the community knows what it wants. Personally, I feel it's all over the place. Some want this others want that.

Also, I know telling people to leave is bad, but it's also just as bad to stay with a game you obviously hate. If you hate it that much you really shouldn't torture yourself by staying.
