It gives the crafters something to do to justify them being a main class.
But then again, I don't think crafters should be main classes anyway. (Who on earth mains a land or hand class?)

i do. I like mining and botany. And having a blast just going out and farm mats.
(not being sarcastic)
I have a serious question.
ok having used the repair system before well on myself... how is the high cost from other players justified? (which is a bit of the OP issues well if not OP other ppls issues) So far it takes a whole 30secons to do since all you do is click on the item while under inventory and hit repair. It does so automatically. And only requires 1 item to do a repair.
Take example of the starter gear, both my weathered pickaxe and hatchet (botany tool) takes a maple branch which i can get about.... 50 with in an hour or less depending how many i get per swing. say i need to get thos repaired and I have the branches, what exactly am I paying for?
am I paying you for the 30 seconds it takes for you to automatically repair said item? What is the REAL reason repairs from other players cost so much. (which is a repair issue for some, mostly newbies)
what is the reason items people sell cost so much?
what is the reason gear cost so much?
the same reason as everything else!
it takes TIME to earn them, to farm them, to make them, to be even able to farm earn or make them
in games people like to see that they are getting something for their work
they dont wanna just be put in the gutter and told that they have to do it for free cuz its their job, which is what you seem to think is happening
again, you are what, rank 14 at the most? you still have NO IDEA whatsoever the true aspect of the game you keep rambling on about like you are a know it all
leave it to the people who have reached even at least rank 30+ to decide that as they have actualy experienced the game, something you seem to still have a huge lack of

this is a game. It isn't real life. The time it takes is just you playing. Why should I pay you a ton of gil to play the game? I can see paying you the use of a material (like in ffxi).what is the reason items people sell cost so much?

gil isn't real and just a digital point system. We do not work jobs to earn it. Nor invest in backs to hold on to it. Infact we pawn items we earn to each other or to npc to earn said gil. (or do levequests were gil is a reward) But we do not work 8+ hour jobs to earn money to spend. And infact we do not need to spend gil on stuff between players. And can trade items between each other. Like say your looking for a sword and are selling an item to buy said sword. I come along with this sword and can trade it to you for the weapon your selling. You can no longer do this in real life since money is now the current barter system. (unless you go to a pawn shop)

so your point is still moot
everything has a value, and money is just an interperetation of value

see vid that is YOUR issue actually. How long YOU took to level something is not the same for everyone. In ffxi it took me several months to level bone craftering to even get level 8. (was unlucky in skill ups) here since bone crafting is now on goldsmithing uit took me an hour with no costs. Where in ffxi it took me a mil gil.
Time is not the same for everyone. One crafter can take a week to go from 1-50 (based on time spent playing) While another can take mnths to go from 1-50 (both do it for free just uising various methods) . So by your lagic the person who took longer should charge more then the person it didn't. So i again actually think about it. How does time effect price? if time is not the same for everyone?
Your right the time is the same for everyone, so for those who like to take it slower to get to 50... when they reach 50 they can choose their own price based on their time spent. Nothing in the world is free, I don't care what you think. It costs you money to work (taxes), costs you money to buy things (taxes), costs you money to do ANYTHING. There is always a value on everything, and some people value their time higher than others, that is what makes an economy.see vid that is YOUR issue actually.
