Why even respond to him? He's clearly a native English speaker who doesn't know English, and he's selling stuff for 30~100 gil on his retainer. You didn't even need to reply to win the argument.Kilta once again proves her ignorance as to not even having read my posts
go Kilta!
where the hell do i talk about or even use realism as an example in ANY of my posts
also, you dont even have anything past the begining levels, so you really have no idea what the main point of this post is yet
the people here are all mostly in the 30s and 40s having issues with repairs and talking about ways to fix it
your still ranking up right outside of town
now kilta if yourll wexcuse us, the rest of us are having a civilized discussion on the subject and not jumping into it with a flame to start off like you did
I have a learning disabilityso stop being ignorant. I tried selling my stuff at fair prices which were never bough anyway and sold to npc. There was no fight win. Just some sorry excuse of an adult siting on his but with fingur in his ear on problems with this game, and way of thinking.
If the economy doesn't start becoming newbie friendly even if this game gets fixed, no one will play it as getting class/rank approriate gear is like pulling teeth at the lower levels. And even for low ranking gear, crafters expect more then 1-4K to do repairs or from selling gear.
Currently I'm 14 btn level 11 min. I've been farming mostly trying to get copper ore, bone chips and various woods to try and make stuff to not only sell, but to learn how to craft my own arrows.

Well assuming I can find the repair kits I need in bulk , then I have no complaints at all. So I guess I just joined Team TheVedis on repair system reworks.there are tons of various mats
BUT, when you only need to carry the ones you use, its not that bad, most gear at the same levels take the same stuff for armor
so if you have a ton of iron based armor, yuo may need iron rivets and squares
if your on leatrherm you need alot of that kind of leather
finding someone whos selling each kit wouldnt be an issue, since if you cant find them for sale, you pay someone to make you a bunch
but all the types wont matter as i said, you only need to carry what you need to use, and thats gonna be the important part
@Kilta
People like TheVedis ruin the game? No my friend, someone needs to look through their own posts in this forum and closely re-examine themselves.
Also........ In before Different Teams!
You would have to be civil inorder to have one.Kilta once again proves her ignorance as to not even having read my posts

I have my own issues I wanted to share. Which are infact serious issues. We need people to want to play this game, one thing that does infact chase people away is not having a newbie friendly community.
This includes a newbie friendly economy.

I just put my gear up in the Mender's Ward with a few thousand gil and it gets repaired within a couple hours.
That aside though, I agree that weapons degrade at a ridiculous rate still. A couple of days ago I logged on and grabbed all my 100% repaired gear from my retainer and went off to kill some levequest baddies. After ONE leve, my lance was already at 89%. That's 8 monsters, for 11% of my weapon durability, in other words roughly 1.5% (or EXACTLY 1.375%) of my lance's durability PER MONSTER. That is absolutely ridiculous.
(Pre-emptive NO on the "don't equip gear higher rank than you" comment. It's a Rank 28 Iron Lance on a Rank 34 Lancer, don't be stupid and don't say stupid things.)

Dumb question, but has anyone done any testing to determine if certain monsters wear weapons more quickly than others?
I doubt that people left because of the retainer system, of all things...
it isn't the retainer syustem but lack of class/level approriate gear. I can't find anything that fits my current classes or ranks. And most stif that is slightly close cosr between 10-70K Which isn't the type of gil I have since I'm just really starting. I do not know the "best ways to get gil" yet. And I do not always do levequests (which should be my choice) Since levequests just increase my level, not give me mats to work with.
If you guys do not think it is an issue, then thats your own fault. I'm just sharing a newbies point of view on how the economy is. And how its been getting gear fitting my class or ranks. I'm still using my r1 tools for my btn or miner because the only r7 pick cost 48K. Which I do not have atm.
Can we please get this topic back on topic
ive already reported several of kiltas post for trying to steer it off as he ALWAYS seems to do
this is about gear repairs, and several of us are talking of alternate methods of how to do them, NOT about the retainer system
make a new post for that if you wanna talk about it
